>get ass raped when buying a car at dealership
>get ass raped when paying off loan to the bank
>get ass raped when paying insurance
>get ass raped by mechanic when car breaks down
is owning a car the most cuckold shit in 2025?
>>
no, it's just you willingly letting men fuck you in the ass.
I've never been ass raped anywhere and I own 4 cars.
>>
How about you own a car you can afford and learn to do basic wrenching, you know? Like a man?

I don't always use a car but when I do I take it at gun point.

I'm still on my first car over a decade later. I keep telling myself I'll upgrade one day, but the timing never seems to work out.

There is no way in hell that I'm accepting 8-10% APR with 810 FICO. That tells me that loan servicers have run out of money to loan and are looking for suckers with cash to siphon money out of. Very bad sign considering that layoffs and hiring freezes are everywhere.

I'd rather just open up my socket wrench set and get to work on a repair.

I'm over 5 years in on my first car that was already 15 years old when I bought it. I make pretty good money now and could afford a new car, but it just doesn't seem worth it. It does make me a bit nervous that my car would fare poorly in a crash, but I think it's a risk I can live with.

If I were to get somethin new, I think the Mazda3 seems nice.

Of course public transit has its place. It should be there and it should work. But all the former bus riders I know who bought cars don't regret it.

Some places you have to do a car because the public transit isn't good enough to live a decent life. Some of them are rural. Some have good public transit.

Invariably the move to the car is seen as positive once they get there and experience it.

It's freedom. Freedom has its price, of course. But it's not having to plan your life around the bus schedule. Not being at the mercy of other people fucking up - or at least, less at the mercy of it. Controlling your space.

That said yeah, buying new cars is a raw deal. But so are most major financial moves these days. I don't have any desire to own anything with an infotainment screen, so for the forseeable future it's gonna be used for me. I am excited about diesel/gas electrics, I hope those take off soon. The things we can do with tunes just on existing motors, it'll be interesting to see just how much overhead gets left on those electric motors and capacitors for hotrodders to use up.

>buy privately
>buy used

I'm on my second car for about 10 years now. I woulda kept my first, but it was under my parents name and they wanted me to get something newer. My FICO is ~800.

>>can't help you with insurance
Some states let you drive without insurance if you have a certain amount of cash on hand.
>>
>>28772496
In Australia if you hit a pedestrian or injure another driver the cost of your registration is factored into their insurance.

That's just life in the 2020s, OP. Everybody is out to ass rape you because they're getting ass raped too. Until a significant change happens, none of this is going to go away.

Jesus Christ, did you go through a wormhole from 2010?
>>
Maybe start wearing a buttplug? How the fuck does buying a car end up with anal sex anyway?
Are you some astolfo cosplayer or something?

>Change insurance to cheaper coverage
>Don't buy a vehicle you can't fix yourself
Maybe be less of a pathetic retard

Get assraped when you pay annual registration too. Its a 300 to 600 dollar sticker here in california
>>
>>28772174

No, you’re just a mongoloid autistic idiot who thinks he has a really clear view of his circumstances.

>Buy a used car privately
>Pay cash for it. Otherwise, ride a bike.
>Insurance is lower when you buy used car with cash. $7500 late 2000s Acura is cheaper to insurance than a 2026 Honda.
>New cars break down. Old cars break down. Domestic cars break down the most. Honda/Toyota don’t.

Owning a car is the most based way to do things.
