>The dopest minivan in existence >The only cool car Chrysler makes>They don't sell it in YuropWhat's wrong with this company? Don't they like money? I don't want to have to import this car over some scummy middleman.
>>28772677The Pacifica is utter trash-T had rented a top trim model for a month and lived out of it on a very long road trip
>>28772755Elaborate
>>28772755In the US, if it's not a rental special, it's a government van that the government will dump well before 100k miles. They do not like keeping them around long compared to other vans, they're not that reliable.
>>28772755I'm sorry to hear that. I have a Grand Caravan and it's lovely.
>>28772808Grand Caravans are nice, they just need frequent ATF changes. The standard of reliability for minivans is much stricter than the average since the Sienna and Odyssey set the standard at over 300k miles of lifespan, well over the 160k that most people will scrap a car over.
>>28772783Is that so? That's a pity.
>>28772755>lived out of itnigger
>>28772808>I have a Grand Caravan
>>28772808They shoulda made an SRT8 Grand Caravan
>>28773533
Kill yourself, Chrysler shill.
>>28773651I know it's a meme car but I do genuinely see a market for high-output minivans that just rip skids and successfully outrun cops on the way to Whole Foods. The Odyssey is sitting on its laurels because the competition does not need to be any faster. They don't break the 300 hp mark.
>>28773719Only issue is the FWD layout lets you have a lot more vertical space throughout the whole interior which is a big selling point of minivans
>>28773731Pretty much every minivan is AWD now so that point is moot. They already have driveshaft tunnels, rear differentials and IRS. They're already pretty close to being RWD based. They just need a few tweaks to the engine bay to get the engine facing the right way.
>>28773738>Pretty much every minivan is AWD now so that point is moot. They already have driveshaft tunnels, rear differentials and IRS.Minivan engineering is very weird. They'll go total parts-bin on everything they can find, but will build like it's a custom platform where they're allowed. The buyers are demanding on features at a specific price point. The only way that a RWD or rear-biased AWD makes sense for a minivan is if that company primarily only sells RWD vehicles. To maximize space, AWD systems and driveline components are placed as low as possible to lower the floor. Air clearance between chassis and moving parts has steadily shrunken over the years. Most cars do not get this optimization unless it's a sports car, but the new generation of minivans have to get it or else they're uncompetitive where it counts. You can tell which companies value their minivan offering because their large car platform is designed around it, so when they make large crossovers, they look like minivans. The Highlander and Pilot come to mind. You can also tell when companies don't, because the minivan looks like an obese SUV, i.e. Sedona/Carnival.The only thing I don't like about newer minivans is the loss of the open front row. A center console now blocks the way so it's no longer possible to swap drivers without opening the door, primarily due to complaints that the minivan felt like driving a bus instead of a car. You know the usual suspects who made that complaint. Companies should've told them to shut their mouth and grow up for once.
>>28773719>I like X therefore there must be a huge untapped market for it if something isn't already being sold, it's either not profitable or technologically impossible
>>28773880>if something isn't already being sold, it's either not profitable or technologically impossibleI'm aware of the reasons why it'll never be done. It's primarily cost. High output is almost always a terrible value for a family buyer. The most demanded minivan this year is desired for nearly 2x fuel economy. Value is everything.A man can dream.
>>28772677>don't sell it in Europe>has Euro plates in picture??
>>28773900>what is importing
>>28772677Stellantis has made it very clear that they do NOT want to make money and would rather walk the tightrope of insolvency. I guess some of chrysler corp really did end up in their blood.
>>28772677>Lady I knew had one, for the kids. Always had electrical problems, the dual battery setup is fucked>Local mormons were using one. Next time I saw them some months later, they had a toyota minivan instead>Saw one being hauled out of a dead end neighborhood on a flatbedQuite possibly the most unreliable vehicle on the road today. No newsworthy recalls because they're all so uniformly fucked that no two vans have the same bug
>>28773791i haven't been in a minivan and didn't even know they have car style center consoles now. what the fuck? the twin captains' chairs in my old T&C were absolutely bitchin'
>>28772677>allegedly do not get sold in europe>car in picture clearly has a german plate???
