>yeah you can't use this brand lifters, or this brand lifters, or that brand lifters, or ANY BRAND lifters made after X date, but there's nothing wrong with the pushrod valvetrain design bro it's fine bro

common LS owner cope

Don't forget the iron block 4.8/5.8/6.0 truck motors. While they are 70lbs heavier they're way the fuck cheaper, more plentiful and will handle more boost.

I have several 5.3L at 300,000+ miles on stock engines.
Change the oil and don't use China lifters.
Never had a LS lifter failure ever

This looks like Fisher-Price in simplicity compared to the tube vomit the Germans would do with that

LS don't have lifter issues.
Assuming it's not a AFM engine.
Some black dude not changing oil in a Tahoe doesn't mean LS have issues.
>>
>>28773721
Specifically which brands are on the ever increasingly small list of non-munching lifters?
>>
>>28773494
that's the AFM engines, which the LS3 is not

I love the Arab cope here. Where are the B58 swapped planes?

>Quiet Aviation (QA, previously Orlando Helicopter Airways) has received the FAA approval by way of an Issue Paper to install the GM LS3 430hp all aluminum V8 in the Cessna Models 172I thru 172M. This Issue Paper establishes the Basis or method in which this retrofit is to be made that when completed will become a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) which can then be installed in the 172’s and Skyhawks. QA will begin immediately in defining the details, documenting, implementing, and testing this first ever chance to greatly modernize these airplanes and boost their performance with an advanced and proven automotive engine."

Yeah real good idea right there.

I think putting automotive engines in aircraft is stupid.
There's a reason why aircraft engines are relatively large displacement for the power and expensive.
Automotive engines don't spend their life at 75% load for hours an hours
.t aerospace fag.

>>28774087
That article doesn't indicate the engine was the problem
