I'm resorting to asking 4chan.Anybody ever deal with the EVO solenoid on the steering rack of a Crown Victoria?2003 Crown Victoria. Power steering pump was leaking, not making noise. Shaft threads were fucked, had to buy a whole new pump with pulley instead of resealing. Bought Edelman on rockauto because I've had good luck with them before. New pump makes noise when revving and seems like there is a flow issue because it won't make noise turning the wheel at idle, so I doubt it's a bad pump.I back flushed the reservoir that has a filter/check valve in it. Cannot get a new one (only 08-11 available). I'm wondering if there's a flow issue because of the reservoir or the EVO solenoid screen on the rack being clogged. There wasn't any sludge in the system, though.I'm probably going to pull the EVO solenoid off the rack and check the screen, but I'm also wondering if anyone has tried a later year reservoir on an 03-05. It looks identical but I don't know if the valve or filter in it is different.

No noise at idle and the steering works fine always, it just gets noisier the more you rev it then it calms back down to normal at idle so it send like a flow issue. New pump is probably flowing more.258k miles for reference. Rack is not leaking and has no play in anything.
