Even their 'cheaper' cars are still comfy.>Picrel a 2000 Rover 75 which started from around 15K back in 2000
because they remind you millennials of your childhood days
Even their super cheap subcompact cars were comfy. Picrel mid 90's Rover 200 which is basically an EK9 Civic
>>28777301It assaults the eyes. Doesn't look comfy either.
>>28777319OK Zoomer, I guess this is your sort of thing instead
>>28777301>>28777313grossneither of these looks comfy. just a retarded mishmash of wood and plastic and cloth 2000s plasticslop was way more comfy
>>28777323I'm from the 80s.The OP pic reminds me of pontoon boats, where the "luxury" is flimsy wood panels, plastic chrome trim, and gigantic panel gaps. The worst thing is how everything just clashes, it just looks like a mess visually. It's really distracting from the function and ends up looking like a dollar store leather purse.I really don't have words for this, I'm not a design guy, but it just repulses me.Here, have a sane interior from 2000.
>>28777301American cars are (were) known for their comfiness. As America is an outgrowth of the english, it only makes sense that they would have a similar mentality.
>>28777344The facade of wood paneling and soft materials serves to bring the beauty of the rich to the lower classes. The transition to ugly black plastic signified a death of class, beauty, and good design (yeeOUCH in the summer) as a whole. Black-slop was the ~1986-2009 version of 2020+ screen-slop, don't let nostalgia fool you.
Ah, now that's what I call comfy
>>28777341this aint it chief
>>28777301>wood, cream & tealtoo nasty even for 90's countryside whorehouses.
>>28777358fake wood isn't comfy but black plastic is.
>>28777741>fake woodAnd there's your problem, get a car with real wood then
>>28777804Still not comfy at all, anonComfy cars don't have reflective surfaces. every material in your picture clashes horribly
>>28777301The focus was more towards comfort for a time. Handling is another factor too.American cars did tend to focus on comfort too for a while, but they opted for straight line speed instead.
>>28777301Rover is an luxury brand isitnot
The wheels on wrong in half of these pictures. What do you mean "comfy" if I have to reach across the car to drive?
>>28778215Rover became the brend for all BL cars towards the end of its life.pic rel
My XE S rides extremely well considering it's a 340i/S4 competitor. With the adaptive suspension in comfort it rides like a proper luxury car rather than a small sport saloon
>>28777359I'm not seeing comfy. What I'm seeing is a lot of features that have been built with Land Rover quality.
>>28778215Towards the tail end? Not really.
>>28777313>tan dash>blue and tan seats>blue and tan door cards>grey carpet>black centre console>black steering wheel>wood behind climate controls but nothing elsewhat the FUCK
British cars are a mixed bag in every field. Landrovers made before the 90s are about as comfortable as a church pew.
>>28777301Ts so fucking ass
>>28778514OK Zoomer
>>28777301Yeah a cozy little pod for eating your bugs in. Nothing has been comfortable since they stopped making the floor flat.
>>28777301literally just looks like a buick of the same year>>28777313this ones just a rebadged pontiac
