could be nostalgia, but the Mach5 gives me a shot of dopamine when I think about it. Why aren't jacks being built into cars a standard feature? Of course being able to jump with them is ridiculous, but imagine how handy it'd be when you want to change a tire or get underneath.
>>28777374You have no idea how much I fuck with the mach 5 and 6Speed Racer 2008 is a goated movie unironically.
>>28777378oh yes, Speed Racer 2008 has no right being as good as it is. Despite the Spy Kids-cgi, they managed to capture the soul of the old anime dub.
>>28777374SWEET JP IN HIS TRANS AM
>>28777374To this day, I still think KITT's little visor thing (and the sound it makes) is the coolest shit ever. Also the car just looks GOOD. Peak aesthetics
>>28777374>>28777378>>28777385im a 2002 zoomer and i was obsessed with this movie and pixar cars when i was in first grade, these two movies are basically the reason i'm a car guy
>>28777447It just looks like a Trans Am that got high.
>>28777374>Why aren't jacks being built into cars a standard feature?Cost, complexity, and space. A simple off the shelf bottle or scissor jack does the same thing for *significantly* less money, and considering how often your average Joe actually has to use them, they're just not worth it. There's also liability to consider - most people agree that sitting under a car held airborne by hydraulic jack alone is a silly idea, but try telling that to the people responsible for the "DO NOT EAT" warnings on silica packets. That being said, they do (or did) exist; my 1950 V8 Pilot has built in jacks from factory. Haven't found a video of anyone actually using them, but I find them very handy. https://youtu.be/gYZC91beph0?t=315
>>28777447>Michael you fucking nigger if you try to crash me one more fucking time I'll deploy your ejector seat the moment we go under an overpass and decapitate your empty fucking head, then I'm gonna run over Bonnie's dumb ass just to tell them you did itK.I.T.T. said calmly
>>28777378speed racer 2008 is really fucking bizarre. on one hand its (extremely well animated) brainrot lazytown ADHD CGI and childish humor and on the other hand the main plot points are stock prices and corporate corruption. it feels like a weird fever dream
>>28777842It captures the mayhem and tonal whiplash of the original 1960s show pretty well, I'd say. The most faithful live action anime adaptation to come out of Hollywood.
>>28777774my sides are in orbit>>28777854idk the guyver was pretty good tbdesuNow if only we get a live-action MD Geist.
Game was meh but god damn does it make me wish the Cadillac Ciel went past being a concept car
>>28777385>>28777725>>28777842Product of the time cgi aside, and the cheesy fight scene in the mountains. It holds up well. I love how they wrote Racer-X and the theme of corruption and overcoming it.
