Their car companies are relatively young and fast-moving, not encumbered by history or legacy or the expectations of a loyal customer base. Differnet brands are popping up and dying and they're all just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks in a desperate bid to become successful before the investors' money runs out. Due to this high-pressure environment and China's general lack of enforcing copyright laws, they will often just "borrow" successful styling cues from existing vehicles that Western manufacturers have already spent billions designing. They are literal Frankenstein's Monster cars, all the best bits from better brands sown together and sold for half the price. It only makes sense that they are so subtly grotesque.I have also noticed that the average Chinese car buyer is an NPCs of the lowest order who has zero awareness of brand reputation and views the car as a good value appliance, much like you would when buying a new kettle. They also drive like brainless retards, but that's beside the point.
