Nissan could be saved if they brought back a fast sexy hybrid minivan with a V6. It doesn't even have to be strictly 2 doors - just slick styling.
No anon, they'd sell /maybe/ a dozen of those. And that's if you're not just talk and would buy one yourself.
>>28779396die
>fast sexy mini vanThat’s like describing a handsome well groomed neet.
>>28779396Avantime sold just enough to fill a pub car park.
>>28779412>handsome well groomed neet.that's me!
>>28779396Apparently they considered selling the Avantime in the US as an Infiniti, but they deemed the investment of federalizing it too great.>>28779417Probably because it's a weird car, that wasn't built by Renault themselves, cost more than the (bigger) Espace, and only had a 2-3 year production run before Matra stopped building cars altogether.
>>28779405Uber black drivers would probably lease them if it was an Infiniti
>>28779396How about a Townstar with a 275 HP F4RT (from the Megane RS), limited slip diff, bigger brakes, lowered and tuned suspension, special alloy wheels, etc.
>>28779446no, it needs to have more like 350 hp cuz of how heavy they are gonna bena v6 + 2 kwh battery hybrid>lowered and tuned suspensionit should be a comfy cruiserhard ride won't sell
>>28779446I don't think they make the F4RT anymore, it's all M5PT/MR18DDT now.
>>28779446Will it also have a F4RT C4NN0N?
>>28779456Come on now, don't be D4FT.
>>28779448A standard Townstar is under 1500 kg. How about an MR18DDT like >>28779451 suggests up front making ~200-220ish HP and a 2 kWh battery and electric motor making ~100-120ish HP powering the rear axle in a road-connected hybrid configuration. Since it's AWD, jack it up an inch or two, give it slightly softer suspension and taller tires, add some DC hook-ups and a couple of inverters in the back powered from the traction battery, include an optional cooler, and make a deal with Elon to put a Starlink mini on the roof with 12 months of free 50 GB "Roam" service. Call it the "Overland Adventure Sport" edition or something.
>>28779396Just wait for the next GTR
>>28779488The standard Townstar is probably a 15 year old design and entirely lacks modern features Americans lack while being too short and too narrow. To bring it up to American specifications you would probably end up adding at least 400 kg of weight. The essential element to making it work is to offer a self charging v6 hybrid where all other manufacturers only give you a too-expensive yet outdated v6 plug in hybrid setup with a heavy battery (chrysler), a hybrid setup with a too-small (kia) engine, or a too-rough and crude 4 cylinder engine (toyota)a v6 is a selling point in a modern car
>>28779396I'm thinking of getting a used Nissan March from 2014, found one at a good condition and price, is it worth it? Is it a reliable car? I need something that doesn't break much.
>>28779396>Nissan could be saved if they brought back a fast sexy hybrid minivan with a V6.They'd CVT it and it'd get a reputation for asploding itself.
>>28782092no, it would have a perfect 8 speed torque converter auto and paddle shifters
>this company could be saved if they brought back this super autistic and incredibly niche market failure I likeThe fucking hubris of people on this board
>>28782192it's not autistic!people often have large families and need to carry them around in comfort
>>28779446>engine is named F4RTAHAHAHAHAHA
>>28779396Nissan had the best concept cars, Nissan had the NSX before NSX
