I really like my truck but it sucks gas and I like to drive in the countryside for fun but it's so expensive with my truck so is it worth selling my baby for something that gets better gas mileage? Maybe a Toyota truck or should I just get a fucking Prius?

>>28780380I had a 2004 Chevy Silverado that got 18-20 its whole life. I could get 21-22 on the highway if I kept it under 60. We have 65 mph highways in my area. High gearing helps. 5.3 engine. A 4.3 should be a bit better. Old s-10s in a manual can get up to 28 mpg.

Any truck is going to get shit mileage when you drive it hard in the city. 20 highway should be achievable in even a "older" half ton like yours.
