What's the best fun daily car for a pizza delivery driver?
>>
Used to deliver chicken in an EK.
>>
>>28781958

>the absolute cheapest, semi-reliable shitbox you can find and just wring the absolute shit out of it
This, and if OP is particular about a shitbox, a Honda Fit will somehow deliver 35 mpg driving like a fucking moron.
>>
>>28781958
Honestly a g35 it has just enough power and handles well enough
>>
pizza minute!
>>
>>28782002
The insurance costs will eat all the pizza money, but then again, the reason why they cost so much to insure is because G35 owners don't purchase insurance.

>pizza delivery driver
what a shit proposition for employment- the cost of your time and fuel as well as upkeep for a car would outpace your meager income. This is from me, a former pizza delivery driver at a wealthy area at a young age. I would say, the only real benefit for this kind of work would be networking with wealthy people that could afford the pizza to begin with. It gives you opportunities to meet these people face to face. My buddy was able to meet Kobe Bryant at his home in California. If the company gave you a car to tool around in, maybe- but they aren't.
>>28782002
>a g35
any VQ at this age that have not been maintained (they were not) are a pain. That would be a terrible and expensive purchase.
>>
>>28781958
You have to drive your own car? What a fucking rip off.
>>
>>28781958
I would say v6 accord but >>28781976 is an even more keyed suggestion as long as the cruising mpg is pretty good and can go above 300 miles on a tank
>>
>>28781958
I delivered pizza one summer in college in my NA Miata. It was cheap to run and enjoyable to drive. I kept the top down pretty much all the time.
>>
>>28782106
>I would say, the only real benefit for this kind of work would be networking
As a former Doordouche driver, I would add that you really learn the area and what's where. But I'll second that the pay barely covers gas and the increased wear and tear. Also based image.
>>
>>28781958
you delivering pizzas, ain't nothing fun about that
>>
>>28782106
>the cost of your time and fuel as well as upkeep for a car would outpace your meager income
This is why you don't do anything to maintain your car besides the occasional oil change. >>28781965

>>

>fun daily
>delivery driver
Pick one, because these two things are diametrically opposed. Yo do not want fun when driving deliveries, you want reliability and a car that barely speeds because it sips on gas. Essentially, you want a fucking 15-20 year old Prius with 220K in the odometer.

Fun cars for delivery will just make you suffer cause what makes them fun, also makes them unreliable. It either that or they're gonna eat up your earning on gas.
>>
>>28781958
what do cab drivers use? i mean real cabs not uber. that is your answer. the answer is usually prius.
>>
Honda fit with manual
>>
>>28782945
you mean toaster
>>
EG civic hatchback with a manual.

You will always have fun, you'll sip fuel which makes you more money, plenty of room for pizzas in the back, will look pretty cool with your pizza delivery logo on the top of it, cheap to repair, cheap to insure.

Just invest in a brake pedal lock and/or hidden kill switch, because people WILL try to steal it. Not a matter of if but when. So get in front of that pizza boy and don't be a sucka caught lackin'
>>
>>28782106
>networking with wealthy people that could afford the pizza
what kind of barren thirdie shithole do you have to live in for ordering pizza to be an extravagant display of wealth
>>
>>28782125
Where I live, delivery drivers would get the company's car to drive.
>>
>>28782975
Around me the Dominos drivers use company graphic-wrapped Chevy Sparks.
>>
>>28783145
>ordering pizza to be an extravagant display of wealth
>what kind of barren thirdie shithole do you have to live in
yeah maybe your neighborhood is a shithole. You ass at reading comprehension or what? If you deliver pizza in an extremely wealthy neighborhood, you will deliver to the wealthy land owners and it gives you chances to speak with them when you otherwise would have no business with. Many a time, I was invited inside into their mansions and even to stay and party with them. You were let inside their gated communities. It's ocean-front Miami beach or Beverly Hills type properties- you would be retarded not to take advantage of face to face interaction. You got to meet pretty girls too- as a college kid was pretty great. Picrelated
>>
>>28782106
Always thought the same. Especially with the used car market today. Not like you can pick up a cheap, dependable used car for $2-3k anymore.

Ubereats driver here, if you live in a state with no emissions testing then look up gen 2 (preferably 2006-2009) toyota priuses on facebook marketplace, ideally one sold by a russian. They buy up priuses with stolen cats because insurance will write them off and then they'll weld on a shitty $100 cat and sell the car for $4000 because it's considered a rebuilt title. Perfectly good cars that get 45 mpg and will last you till 250k easily if you just change the oil.
>>
>>28781958
a SUV of some type. when i delivered pizza back in 2003 i had a 1992 4runner and it was exceptional. it's also tall enough to jump on the top of if someone's dog got loose, which it did and i did and it worked out.
>>
>>28781958
any light motorcycle with a yx140
>>
>>28783238
can confirm, mines only at 180k but these are well known to hit 300k+ and a few to 500k. I still get 46mpg and sometimes more. 12k in the last 5 months.
>>
>>28783203
Absolutely fucking no one is gonna give a shit for a pizza delivery boy. This isn't a Hollywood movie were a spic working on a factory as cleaning staff comes up with spicier cheetos and becomes a member of the board. Odds are whatever you're doing with them, all they'll do to help you is hook you up with a job as the help, so you can stop driving for tips and instead clean up their pool for $15/hr.
>>
>>28783346
>no one is gonna give a shit for a pizza delivery boy
>Odds are whatever you're doing with them, all they'll do to help you is hook you up with a job
that's exactly what I did. It worked for me. I got work at a large automotive industry brand as a mechanic after talking to the right people. Sure beats pizza boy and got me paid well and started off my career. Now for OP? If you stay for more than 6 months you're a retard. The upkeep just to be employed is not worth it- just a modern-day slave.
>>
>>28783434
Honestly in it cause it pays 18 an hour before tips and it's a good amount of money for a uni student living with his parents considering the eg or the 5.0 maybe something more modern
>>
a suzuki swift sport
>>
>>28781958
Don't look for fun no such thing as fun, reliable and efficient, get a Corolla Hybrid 1.8L that gets 50 MPG in traffic
And once you get some spare money get a fun sports car for weekends
>>
>>28783924
This might sound dumb but I would be happy with something in the 23-29 mpg range I want one car that would be good at being fun and efficient since I only want to pay for insurance on one car

Kia K5 GT. so you can deliver and then have fun on the track.
>>
>>28784011
You'll just work for gas and maintenance because you'll rack up miles fast, constant oil changes, brakepads, clutches
But if you insist you can get a Golf R, they're pretty fun and get 30~ MPG
>>
>>28781958

Manual Suzuki Swift.
You can have fun wringing the shit out of it on any street and it's got a tidy, tight gearbox that's dope to drive.

Laugh at me all you want, but I think a Fiat 500 (Manual) or preferably an Abarth 500 would be a fun delivery vehicle for pizzas.

>small parking footprint
