Whats the worst car you’ve ever had?
>>
I only own good cars.
But the worst one I've driven was a Opel Agila that my coworker had. That thing was pathetic.
>>
3g chrysler sebring. wow that car literally not a single redeeming quality.

That hood always looked like they stole it from a Kübelwagen or something.

2013 chevy cruz eco
AC would work when it felt like it, something on the turbo broke (this was years ago I can't remember specifics) and had to be hunted down to replace. The only good thing I have to say about it is that it helped me learn how to drive stick.

Classic FIAT 500. They're slow, small, awkward, handle poorly, annoying to work on, and while spares are cheap, they are of poor quality, with rubber parts in particular suffering from dry rot after only a few months. Awful, awful little cars.

09 Lexus is250 AWD
It was automatic, had dogshit aftermarket support, and driving it made me want to kill myself. Had it for 3 months

fuck this car

i would say a 2012 civic but it was cheap and knew what it was. the real answer is a 2006 mazdaspeed6 because it drove like crap and was expensive to own

94 Dodge Shadow 2.5l.
The front motor mount constantly came loose, all the steering rack bolts fell out once, and it couldn't go above 4k rpm despite a 5500rpm redline.
#2 was a 97 Ford escort automatic with the 2.0l CVH engine. It ate one engine and two transmissions.

90s Dodge styling looks so out of place on anything but a minivan or pickup
>>
But /o/ told me old cars were indestructible and new ones break down after 10k miles. Why is this thread not reaffirming my bias???

What is generally so bad about this? Is it just horribly unreliable? How is it worse than the cars that had the battery in the wheel well or does this also have that.

People act like this thing is worse than the Yugo.

I had a 2006 Holden VZ SS Commodore. They only made a small amount for the one year in the model I had, 6L v8, 19 inch rims with upgraded tyres and brakes compared to the old model. It was a good enthusiast car, but it was just shit, everything on it just kept breaking, all 4 rims ended up buckling, the paint faded real bad, the interior leathers started tearing, the roof liner fucked out, I needed to replace the rear main seal, the sump gasket, water pump, some bracket near the back that I can’t remember that was making it drive shit, then the engine light came on and it started changing into second gear ridiculously hard with a massive thump, sold it for $4k aud.

not the worst car i've ever had (because i didnt own it), but among the worst cars i've ever driven was a 2014 mercedes benz CLA180 diesel

equally terrible was a 2023 hyundai i20, absolutely miserable to drive

I hate to admit it but I am probably one of the few that had shitty VAG products. Owned a 2012 VW golf with a 1.6tdi and it had tons of dpf and egr issues. A skoda octavia 2.0tdi with constant egr clogging and turbo issues.
This being said the best car I've owned is a peugeot 406 2.0hdi. Managed almost 800k kms before I swapped for a 2.2hdi

this
But cars my friends have owned and I driven:
>ex's 2017 chevy trax
Numerous problems before it even hit 80k miles, became a money pit. Interior felt cramped and cheap. Overall just a shit car. She afterwards bought a Honda like I said she have done in first place and swore off chevy.
>friends 2005 Ford Ranger
Very basic, which isn't necessarily bad if that's your thing. But holy fuck that was the most gutless 6 cylinder I've ever driven, bar none.
>Sisters 2010 Jetta
Really actually a nice car compared to comparable civics and corollas but just aged poorly and become a money pit. Albeit I'm not sure how meticulous she was on maintenance.
>>
>>28784267
how many randoms talk about the car or ask if you're selling?

98 gmc sonoma.. the 4.3l was great, everything else sucked. I owned it 2 years, seatbelts, heater, radiator, half the fiberglass door, engine mounts failed causing a warpped driveshaft ect. fuck that truck. I will never own another GM product.

A Toyota Corona I bought off a friends Dad for $100
>had to immediately buy a battery for it worth more than the car itself
>it overheated on the 3 minute drive back to my place, spent the rest of the day flushing out gunk in the coolant lines
>had barely any brakes left, it stopped but all you heard when braking was the screech of metal on metal
>drivers seat was sunken in completely
>any time you stopped driving a smokescreen activated, had to constantly top up with oil
>took roughly 20 seconds to accelerate up to 80km/h
>>
>>28784355
Sounds like you got a good deal, I can see why you bought it.

My worst was a 99 e300td
never buying German again, no way do they design those cars to be maintained by anyone other than the dealership with their fully stocked proprietary tool room.

Range rover.

I can't complain for the price but it was definitely a deathtrap, sold it for $400 to some guy who wanted a paddock basher for his kid :)

2017 Chevy Cruze
*Two O2 sensors failed
*Sensor in the oil pan and in the engine failed
*Driver overhead mirror broke off due to shitty plastic
*Cat stopped working
*Now the sensor in the front right tire failed

Car is at 59000 miles and this POS is costing me over $7000 in repairs and is quickly becoming a money pit. I'm ready to turn in this POS.

This was a decade ago, it was like a 6k car back then, NA and manual.
It was just dogshit to drive, uncomfortable and extremely boring.
I fell for the video game hype as a kid, it just wasn't that impressive in real life.
>B-but easy 1000hp bro just put a turbo on it bro
Wouldn't have made it any better even if it had 1000hp, it was still dogshit to drive.
Also the NA engines are soft as hell and bend rods from doing burnouts or light hooning.

Got it for free at work.
350kkm on the odo, abused as company car, burning crazy amounts of oil. Thought it'll be just temporary car.
Ended up driving it for years all the way up to 500kkm while burning oil like mf, I was buying oil in bulk.
Otherwise super reliable, never gave me issues. Drove it to scrapper...

Makes you wonder if any modern cars will be shitbox tier but somewhat reliable DD's in 30 years
>>
>>28782780
An '81 Chrysler K. I remember an incident when I was driving south on I 65 into a 25mph headwind, and noticed that my foot was all the way to the floor when going only about 70. In what I drive now, though it weighs twice as much, the engine rests at a tranquil 1700 rpm at 80 in average conditions, and still gets about twice the MPG at that.
>>
>>28784665
normies always love to harp on about big v8s chugging fuel forgetting that an engine that has to constantly run near or at full load is going to be thirstier and live a shorter live.
