I'm going to buy a $40K vehicle this week and I feel sick to my stomach.
buy a 3K crown vic and feel better, then.
>>28784802If it's gotta be newer, buy a car that is like 3-5 years old so it takes the bulk of the depreciation hit. Get a non-retarded brand like toyota, honda, mazda, if you don't wanna spend too much money.
>>28784802If $40k is a big blow to your finances, then don't do it lol.
>Worried about every single dent and blemish >Have to park far away >Stress about payments Why would you do this to yourself anon? Is it really worth impressing other people?
>>28784802>$40k vehicle rigged to break down in 2 years max
>>28784822>3 year old toyota>depreciationSince covid, its been cheaper to buy a new car than a used one. >>28784832If you're that stressed it means you cant really afford it. Just buy a new miata. No one wants the GT models so you can get it out the door for 30k. I paid 33k for a club in 2024 someone ordered and cancelled so I got lucky there. I make 132k salary and have no mortgage and that was the most reasonable price for a car I could tolerate. Cars are way too expensive these days.
>>28784802>Spending 30k on old sports car>Don't even really want it, just mindlessly buying it to distract from the depressionI'm way too deep to back out now, keep thinking of selling it as soon as I get it.
>>28784822Toyotas depreciate like they’re going to last 500k miles>here dude, have a 10% discount for a car with 50k miles on it, some scratched paint, and farted in seats>also since you’re buying used you don’t really get to pick paint color or options, not that toyotas have options
