How much did you pay for your sound system?
>>28786937My car already had a bose system from the factory. In new cars these are not a thing
>>28786939"Premium" factory systems get blown the fuck out by even modest aftermarket systems.
>mogs any sound system for one tenth the price
Came with the 5k premium package. I'm not black so I don't need a 2000 watt system
Like $150 for better drivers because that was an 80% improvement for 5% of the cost.
>>28786945>>28786945>cannot hear anything around youDriving on hard mode? That being said apparently deaf people can drive without issue so I guess it’s legal.
>>28786937$200 for underseat subwoofer. The sound system now sounds like what it should've from the factory.
>>28786945Please leave, tinnitus zoomer.
>>28786937$1k with installation and parts for a 12" sub. My other car came stock with a Harman Kardon system with 4 subwoofers, 2 x 9" and 2 x 10". Though I'll probably add a 12" to it as well.
>>28786941How would you know? You don't have a new car
probably 700 bucks on a diy road boxI got two 10" full ranges2 6.5stwo 2.5" tweeterstwo amplifiersthree prefab boxes screwed togetherit's super loud but im not a car-audio-fag who does the performance window rattling bullshit.I just need it to be louder than a straight piped v8 at 120mph.
I have a stock sound system from the early 80s and a radio that cuts out when I go over bumps
>>28786937Nothing because I'm not a negro sending out mating/challenge calls>>28786941Rattling your trunk does not mean quality
>>28787004Yes you are
>>28786956I've been thinking about getting one of these. I changed out the head unit in my truck to a aftermarket pioneer single din cd player, and the sound quality is amazing from this one little change. So I thought about leaning in a little bit
>>28786937I'm up to like 200 dollars on Facebook marketplace and 20 dollars at goodwill for all three of my vehicles so I'm doing pretty good so far.land yacht has four old speakers run by an alpine cassette unit with a CD changer and an amplifier powering a bazooka tube.van is going to get two large subs in the back, two mediumish subs right behind my seat, four tinny old speakers, and two boxed 6x9s, I've got like three amplifiers to work with in terms of wiring it all up so it shouldn't be too hard.Equinox, picture related, got the crackheadiest setup of the three, with a JVC cassette deck screwed to the dash, random OEM speakers screwed to the front doors, and home Hi-Fi speakers positioned in the back. Now I hear you say, why don't I give it some of the subwoofers rather than giving the van double subs? Well, because fuck trying to wire up an amplifier in this thing. It sounds fine enough. Massive thanks to my dad's Chevy Beretta that originally contained the bazooka tube and the two large subs in the 90s, wouldn't've been able to do this without its noble sacrifice.
>>28787004stock systems typically are paper-cup crap and don't even have an amplofier.late models might have better options maybe but if you drive anything new fuck you.it's not ape behavior to have a good audio setup in your car, alot of people actually do and have enough sense of shame to turn it down within city limits or in within sight of observing pedestrians.im real fucking sick of this stormfag tier "having fun makes you a nigger" type of bullshit I always hated it.
My wife's 2024 buck with bose premium sound doesn't sound as good as my 2010 truck with single din cd player
>>28787015Thinking paper automatically means bad show how much you know, there a plenty of high end home systems that use paper cone. At the end of the day it s a car, unless the base car you're starting off with has vault levels of isolation road noise is going to taint whatever experience you would have. The only reason I could see spending money on aftermarket crap is because I either live in my car or my commute is hella long. Besides my car came with a sub built into the rear deck.
>>28787024>Thinking paper automatically means bad show how much you know, maybe I don't know everything but from all my experiance they're distorting or dead by the time they're 20 years old.
>>28786937Whatever dynamat costs. That alone already made a huge difference.
>>28786937More than you can afford, palhttps://youtu.be/O7OfJy8ESXw?si=796B2f1pYW8Vns78
>>28787077What a gigantic waste of time and money.
>>28787077>54kW>assuming no power losses (there are) in amplifiers and cables, 4500 amps at 12VThe entire engine bay would be nothing but alternators. Whatever retard posted this video lacks the most basic understanding of electricity.
>>28787083Maybe read the description.
>>28787015>im real fucking sick of this stormfag tier "having fun makes you a nigger" type of bullshit I always hated it.The same people who have that mindset are also the same kind of retard to stop eating at a restaurant they've liked for decades because they found out a black guy has been preparing their food that entire time.
>>28786937About $23 to replace the digitizer on the stock stereo. Fuck toyota reliability.
>>28787107Now that's understandable.
>>28787163I remember seeing a video of a Subaru stereo's circuitboard where the volume knob was clearly designed to snap off over time.
>>28786937About $12K, and it came with a car attached to it.
I won't pay to add weight to my car
>>28786937about $22,000 iirc.
>>28787015>stock systems typically are paper-cup crap and don't even have an amplofierImagine being this confident while not knowing what you're talking about at all.
>>28787048for paper to last that long is pretty damn impressive in of itself, considering how often it'd be baking in the sun for, how hot and cold it gets inside a car etc.
>>28786937160 for the antenna100 for the head unit100 for the dash speakerworks well enough, not expecting the soundscape to be an audiophile's wet dream considering it's more than half a century old
>>28786937I just kept my e28 and turned it into a nice little commuter. I removed the engine, and interior and repaired everything. Fixed the line, and while I was piecing it back together I think I spent about $5k on a nice system. Stereo, sound processor, amplifiers crossovers. Its holding up well and hasn't blown out after 5 years. Its about how its installed and less about power. I think its 1500 watts powering a single 12, and I added about 150lbs between equipment and sound deadening.l without disrupting balance.
>>28786937None on my current car, that shit doesn't impress me anymore desu. I guess I'm getting old
>>28787868There comes a point when you're already battling tinnitus and you just want to hear the music, not blow other drivers into the river with it.
>>28787015You don't need an amplifier to make good speakers work. 10 watts is enough to push a decent speaker to 90+db. 90db is loud enough. What you do need is a subwoofer to take the bass off of the cabin mains.
>>28787077Would have been cheaper to just stick a vibrating buttplug up his ass when he drives.
>>28787107Don't fool yourself, that level of chud never leaves home and exclusively eats tendies prepared by their mother.
>>28786937I haven't had an aftermarket stereo for the last two rigs. Stock systems are just good enough these days. My last car I had one in I can't remember how much I spent, it was a 4k watt problem causer my teenage self loved. 1kW per sub and 500W per door speaker. It was all Pioneer stuff except for the sub amp was a fosgate I got from a friend for cheap. I don't know any of the model numbers anymore. The head unit had the dolphin video, I used the "spectrum analyzer" video instead.I have noticed my hearing has been coming back these last twenty years. I rarely get a tinnitus ring anymore and when I do it doesn't last long.
>>28786948lol where are your headrest crests you cheap faggot
>>28786937$0 because I'm not brown. Car audio should be background noise. A car's interior is the worst sound stage possible.
about $3k in equipment, $0 in labor bc self installed
