Behold! A future classic right here.
>rear diff overheats>engine blows>warranty voided
>>28791756>FWD No thanks
Ngl drifting is fucking gay
>>28791760If „FWD“ is this much fun then sign me the fuck up
>>28791764That's just cope "drifting". Try drifting with a RWD if you want some real fun.
>>28791773what the fuck is cope drifting?he’s drifting whether you like it or not
>>28791756>rally car>tarmACKtracktrannies are so cute thinking they can drive up a perfectly paved/maintained surfacelets see them try those skills offroad LOL
>>28791756>me playing need for speed and picking the escalade
>lawnmower engine blows up>warranty claim denied
>>28792412>gr rolla cope
>>28791756Ugly. Slow. Gay.goyotas are so fuckin useless godsDAMN
>>28792686>4 door grocery getter kek
>>28792683Did you realize the Corolla and facelift hairs use the same engine and come from the same factory?
>>28792691>and still faster and more luxurious than any goyotakek
>>28792686>Ugly. Slow. Gay.Ugly: worthless opinion.Slow: you wouldn't see which way it went, on a tight technical course.Gay: don't put yourself down lad.
Post the webm of the guy running his 0w20 oil to 250 degrees on track and setting his car on fire after the motor lets go
>>287928861 is build for mutts1 is build for white men to a much higher standard.this is why there is not a single record of a blown GR yaris facelift engine.cope, seethe, dilate
>>28792989are you really this stupid or are you pretending
>>28793004He has to defend his shitty Toyota product that he doesn’t even own.
>>28793004what part of ZERO KNOWN CASES OF BLOWN GR YARIS FACELIFT ENGINES is it you don't get?
>>28793032There is zero cases of a single one having reached 100k miles. Guess we can assume they aren’t reliable.
Some guy had 1 knock event and ruined the coating on the cylinder wall
>>28792889>muh luxurious kek only soccer moms care for that shit in a sports car
>>28793051maybe because they aren’t even out for 2 years and they are driven for fun instead of commuting for hours on end daily
>>28793104Sounds like claiming there aren’t known cases of them blowing up doesn’t hold any water for the same reasons, then. What can be used as absence of unreliability can be used as absence of reliability.
>>28793115>tune 1.6L engine to 1000hp>it explodeswowzer
>>28793178Stock ones have exploded, too.
>>28793182in your dreams maybe
>>28793104
>>28793236Meant fie>>28793229
>>28793236>corolla
>>28793239>same engine
>>28793241>facelifted yaris got fixed>corolla did not
>>28793257>facelift Yaris got fixedProof with 100k mile example?
>>28793260wait a few more years. us yurobros drive like 5-10k miles a year
>>28791756oh? so which factory option comes with a sequential shifter, exactly?
>>28793272it doesn’t have a sequential. it’s a vertical handbrake. and it can be optioned.
>>28793267>just a few more years, bro. They’ll be reliable eventually. (said when the car first launched).
>>28793278The car in OP's video 100% has a sequential you can see the whole car jolt when he upshifts it. I would hope a car with a $30k+ transmission in it would be fun. It's also pointless comparing it to the car you buy from the dealership at that point.
>>28793272>noooo you can’t just make a rally homologation even more rally
>>28793299that's the point; toyota isn't actually selling a rally homologation car; the owner made that car that way, not toyota
>>28793391they wouldn’t sell any cars if it came with a sequential from the factory lol. it’s already an expensive car
>>28793391Toyota dominates Rally2 because the GR Yaris is designed to be a rally car from the ground up, so it's naturally going to be better than the more conventional hatchbacks it competes against. Even the reason they went with a 3cyl is due to the way the engine rules are written, you can get better low-end performance that way.The FIA changed the top class rules to spaceframe cars just before the GR Yaris was introduced specifically to prevent Toyota from killing the whole sport with a car that no other manufacturer would be willing to compete against. It's 100% a homologation special, a purpose-built rally car. The GR Corolla on the other hand is just an engine swap.
>>28791758They still haven't fixed this? I been skidding my Ford falcon with blown CVs for a year and it's still going lollHaven't even serviced the diff in 5yrs
>>28793551>>28793417it pretty fairly undermines your point to talk about how cool the 'stock' car supposedly is while not posting the stock car in the first place
>>28791760>>28791773you know it's AWD right ?
>>28793652stock is better desusequential is ricer junk
>>28793748behold, the toyotard in it's natural element
>>28793011This doesn't hit as hard when the muttmobile you're shilling has more power
>>28793551>designed to be a rally car from the ground up>yarisAre you sure
>>28793236the spyware in the corolla blamed him for this btw. this is what all modern car buyers are asking for.
>>28791761But racing in a straight line is gayest
>>2879323698% of the time GR Corollas that had issues actually just got serviced by dealership interns very recently, but that part never makes it into the headlines. I'm schizo so I've never let the dealership even go near mine.
>>28793771Given that you’re coping over a 3 horsepower difference I can tell losing to a rental spec vehicle on all seasons it is hitting you pretty hard.
>>28793011right = what any enthusiast would pick over the leftleft = most likely engages in instagram tiktok viral content and also has brown skin
>>28793843Pretty sure Randy pobst is whiter and a better driver than any Yaris owner and he still chose a Camaro.
>>28793849Randy is americana hillbilly, where as rest of the world endorses the GR Yaris, at least hell a lot more than rest of the world backing a Camaro 2.0T lmao
GR = Gay Retard
>>28793854Randy can actually drive, whereas the “rest of the world” endorsing the yaris is the brown instagram mystery meat who blow their engine whenever they track it.
>2L camaro
>>28793896if a 2l camaro is so bad, why is a gr yaris worse?
>>28794378only the pre facelift is
>>28794440The post facelift is only slightly less slower than a 4 cylinder Camaro on all seasons.
>>28793773GR Yaris is not a Yaris. It's not the same platform, despite the name. The GR Corolla on the other hand is a regular Corolla platform with GR Yaris parts swapped in.
>>28793862>Randy can actually driveImpossible, he's American
>>28795042IDK if what you say is true but that sounds like some real hackneye shit right there bud
>>28793011>yeah, 0.16 s difference on one track is totally relevant and not within margin of error caused by one driver farting more often than the other
>>28791756This looks fun but I don't believe in using computerized differential shenanigans to make a car handle well.
>>28795303I can get behind this. once the electronics fail fun is over. worst case: your life is over too
>>28795166Feel free to hop in your Yaris and beat his time.>>28795297>*coping noises*
Nice engine, would be a shame if it decided to seize
>>28795695Looks like that GRY didn't get the memo that the engine problems only happen to GRCs.
>>28795722>4 doors that’s a GR Corolla you retard
>>28792686didnt you say you would buy a new m4 comp
>>28792686monster truck lexus in the background
>>28794448Yaris was literally half eye blink slower. Just a few more hp might may fix it.>>28795487>>*coping noises*2 l Camaro is a cope. It's a muscle car with no muscles. Or a pony car with not enough ponies, to be more accurate. The difference between those two cars is that 2 l Camaro was the worst of it's kind while GR Yaris/Corolla is probably the only one of its kind (awd manual hot hatches) since Focus RS went out of production.
>>28795775If Toyota put even half the effort into this pos as you do coping for it they’d have made something that was capable of beating a rental car on all seasons. The fact that the 4 cylinder Camaro doesn’t even have an lsd and still win is embarrassing. Toyota could’ve benchmarked the alpha platform like Subaru did for the WRX S209 and made something actually decent.
>>28793655Not when you drift it and overheat the rear diff. It reverts to what it naturally is, FWD. >>28795166Remember that one time they put Europe's best F1 driver up against an American Nascar driver? Remember how that went?
>>28795797Also nascar drivers have won entire F1 championships but not a single F1 driver could win even a single lone nascar race.
>>28795814Mario Andretti was a nascar driver?
>>28795828He raced stock cars before he went open wheel racing.
>>28795738>>28795695cope
Bros I need actual advice. I have an 86. I can trade in for a 23 Morizo edition with 2500 miles that I talked down the dealer to 43k and they're throwing in a set of cheapo wheels and tires for snow. Is this really just a corolla piece of shit or something worth doing? People talk these cars up a lot, they're supposedly killing the drivetrain after 26. In comparison the 86 feels like driving barefoot if that makes sense. You can feel the road before TC kicks in and in the snow its extremely simple to control albeit with issues going uphill or in more than 6" of snow.
>>28795814Hold his pint.
