I was test driving my recently bought 996 on the snow, drove the car for more than 5 km, drifting slowly on the snow, then needed to start the car again and the screen flickered, the motor wouldn't start up anymore. Link with audio:

https://files.catbox.moe/z7tzog.mp4

The first time it didn't work, the digital oil gauge showed 50% of the oil level. I tried measuring manually but there was no visible oil mark on the stick.

Thank God some guys helped me push the car on the snow, but we weren't fast enough to be able to push start the car. One attempt was almost enough to do it. One guy is a bus mechanic and said it could be either the battery or the motor starter.

Can any of you diagnose this problem with more certainty? Can I fix it on the spot without having to tow the car?

My previous threads were because in an accident I damaged the exhaust. Could this have anything to do with the fact that the car is not starting right now? It is around -2°C and snowing.

Symptom is consistent with insufficient current flow while the starter is engaged. This can be due to a weak battery or poor connection of the battery cables at either end.

Is there oil on the road
>>
>>28792914
thank you very much. Im gonna get some cables to jump start the car tomorrow, also the previous owner has let the car stand still for longer periods of times, driving only 14.000 km in 6 years and some rust has settled. Also some cables passing underneath the car (precisely at the left side near the rear wheel) are exposed and need to get rust removed. I remember the day I bought the car the previous owner was charging the battery, he told me that not that long ago he replaced the battery, but maybe because the current battery got bad

I had checked for that and no, on the snow I couldn't identify oil.
I checked the manual though and the digital measurement corresponds to a normal value, even if it truly were in the middle of the gauge (the arrows point the min and max values. I will try filling it up with newer oil though

You are so in over your head lmao, every week it's a new disaster with you, wrenchlet.
You should've bought a 370Z or a new GR86 to allow you to *be* a wrenchlet, and now you're all sorts of fucked lol. I bet this shitbox is your only car too lol.

Your battery lost its CCA, you can test with a basic voltmeter to see the current juice, but to see its current CCA, you need to take it to an autoparts store. I know in the US, we have the option of walking into AutoZone, Advanced Auto and getting a free battery test + charge.

Is there an EU version of AAA that'll just have a dude drive up with a battery tester and then will jump your car?

Also possible that your alternator went out, but I doubt it.

I've rescued my princess again. Im starting to feel like Mario now

Wat is los bei dir

Also, get the battery checked if this happens again. If it's a few years old there's a chance it got rekt by the cold weather.
