In a normal economy that would be between 7 and 10 thousand dollars. And even that should be high for 10 year old car.
>>
>>28793429
That car is higher quality than anything made in the past 10 years.
If you bought a new Accord, it would last half as long as that used one.

So in a sense, it is worth that money.

Back in 2015, I got my 2005 Honda Accord, with 109,000 miles, for $7,000.

I spent 40k on my Honda accord. If you live on the east coast they are super expensive because everyone wants Honda.

a wagie looks at this and thinks "hell yeah, i bet the payments would only be $400/month."

In 2015 gold was around $1100 an oz so, vs. today's $4200, either you got gypped, or OP is a supreme bargain.

They're still taxed but cheaper virtually anywhere else, you're also looking at the 'top trim' EX-L, so you're paying for some extra plastic chrome, leather and heated seats and a standard sunroof. Things you don't exactly need in an appliance commuterbox.

>n20-powered BMW
Make sure it's at least a mid-2015 produced model or else you'll be changing out those timing chain guides in no time. Even better if you can go up to 2017 or so when they switched to the B48.
Better yet, an n/a, port-injected, N52-powered E90 from a few years back would be a better option, and you can easily find them with under 100k miles for under $10k.
>>
>>28793932
Horrid. Peak NARB. AWD BMWs ride and handle like shit compared to their RWD counterparts, slushbox BMWs are exclusively for women or brown guys (who never had their dad teach them to drive stick,) and that n20 has maybe 50k miles left in it, _if_ it's been well cared for and had the timing set done.
You'd be hard pressed to pick a worse overall car. Probably some Nissans or fiats could pull it off, but that's about it.

>N52-powered E90 from a few years back would be a better option
Oh yes 100% would be but I was going for a year-for-year comparison to OP. For less money you can have a way more capable car.
>>28794056
Oh no! a 11 year old car needs a heckinnn timing chain set!!!
Easy day job. plenty of video's and support to make it happen.
If you pay a shop maybeee a 4-5k job needed every 10 years.
>AWD BMWs ride and handle like shit compared to their RWD counterparts
Handles better than that slopbox accord by oceans and AWD is something that gen accord never even got.
That gen and spec Bmw was available with RWD for around the same price too, you can just find one of those.
>slushbox
who gives a shit it's a daily ecocar. Why would manual be necessary?
>>
>>28793463
It depends what accord you speak of. The k24 accords will definitely outlast a newer turbo, but likely a new accord hybrid will last just as long if not longer than an old accord imo
>>
>>28793932
BMW used prices should be up for trial in Hague courts.
>>
>>28793429
At some point you realize it's actually cheaper to just run one of these in the long term
>>
I bought my '04 2.0l Accord for £3,500 at 81000 miles :)

I remember when $18k could buy you a good used car that was less than 5 years old.

niggers really be like"omg why are top trim accords and camrys expensive"
its so funny how people get outraged over 40k top trim accords today. That was probably 36k new in 2015

>b-but its an accord!
yeah and they were fucking 30k in 2008.

It's been 11 years, it should be more like 9 grand

>wtf why isn't it 9 grand

sorry bozo you delusional retards are going to have to cope with your fantasy where accords and camrys are shitboxes from the 80s and should be free or whatever lol.

Again, I'm not sure where this delusional take comes from. Buy a beat up 4cylinder with 200k miles if you want it for cheap. Clearly it should *not* be worth what you feel because the market says otherwise

gg no re

Hondas and Toyotas are priced over what they're actually worth as a vehicle in terms of reliability, MPGs, performance etc.

This is because the market is not necessarily rational. They assign significant value to the badge.
