No I mean the 'GTD' nomenclature

Ford really fucked up the new mustang.
The front end is wack.
The steering is still horrible with zero feel.
Engine feels way too peaky and feels sluggish blow 4,000 RPM.
Gas pedal feels very non linear.
Manual transmission feels like crap.
Clutch feels like a on-off race clutch without the bite of a race clutch.
The traction and stability control is super intrusive.
But once you turn them off, the car is a oversteering monstrosity.
Once the rear starts to rotate, it just wants to keep going.
The 6th gen Camaros or older mustangs didn't do that.

Apparently it's a massive thorn in the side of Ford's product planning division that everyone calls this thing the Dork Horse.

the back looks fucking dumb, I don't know why they made the bars taper like that. whatever gen was before this one looked so good, Ford is fucking retarded.

Ferd Moostang NegroHorse isn't worth 20Gay over a regular Shitstang GayT.

They look the same to 99.9% of other "humans" on the road.

"But muh hand0ling". You can upgrade suspension and chassis on Rustangs for a few grand.

It also still overheats on track.

Ford is such a fail-you-are. Even the $400K (+$100K tip) GTD is DOA because it gets demolished by a Corvfefe ZR1 half the price.

(yes I am an altism)

It's almost like they're trying to make it look like the camaro.

You're probably right about all of the performance stuff, but I'll say that it's the only decent looking car still being made that isn't some pickup truck. They didn't lean too far into the nu-futurism look and I appreciate that.

mustangs and camaros have always basically looked the same. and it was camaro that copied mustang first.

modern IRS mustangs have very soft subframe bushings that allow the rear cradle to yaw under power which is why they like to oversteer uncontrollably. Basically the drive line torque twists the diff which then twists the rear wheels out of alignment by rotating the entire rear subframe and the bushings are too soft to resist.
this is further amplified by a very slow steering ratio of 20:1. Mustang competitors like the Camaro and Chally have fast steering ratios of 12:1 or 14:1 making it easier to control them in a slide, as well as much more competent suspension design more intended for driving the cars at their limits. The Mustang is a Taurus in a wifebeater and trucker cap, the Challenger and Camaro are real sports cars.

dat ackthually makes sense.

i played around in the rain in a new Mustgay recently and the steering is undriftable in Normal mode because it's too heavy and slow. you have to do Comfort mode to reliably countersteer and catch drifts. i found youtube vids of experienced Mustang drifters and they do the same thing, Comfort mode.

Facebook Mustang drift groups also talk about how it also doesn't self-steer, like the steering wheel doesn't spring back to center the way other cars do. So once you're started sliding in one direction, you have to manually apply effort to trace the wheel back the other way, and repeat, or else you'll fishtail out of control into a crowd

sounds like a rack and bushing kit would fix these problems, not that i care because fuck overhead cam v8s cars.

>very soft subframe bushings that allow the rear cradle to yaw
That's been done on FWD MPVs (miniminivans is best translation to merican) I think... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S37eTWvay-w
Why the actual fuck would you want such a setup on a 500+hp RWD car? What the fuck were they thinking???
