tipped over edition.
Long time since last thread, how you've been doing, hopefully winter isn't too harsh on you.
How does one avoid getting fat whilst sitting in machine all day?
forklifters welcome, as long as your machine has place to sit

I always labored enough in between operating that I never got fat. Plus exercising outside of work and a generally active lifestyle

Now I am in management so I usually have time to workout at lunch or at the end of the day.

Cat 349 Excavator. Once while drunk Connexpo I started up a gigantic Komatsu haul truck inside the convention center with a spare komatsu key I kept in my wallet and was promptly kicked out

I'd too lazy to exercise at home so I wear 50lb of weights at work.

Are you going this year?
My boss won't let me go because I yelled at one of our equipment suppliers for making shit equipment and that person I yelled at is higher up in that particular company and we just bought 4 more of their units. I printed out a full page of complaints with the most recent units we bought and asked him to give it to the salesman/manager dude.
>>
>>28797993
Yeah. Fiat bought ford new holland and the last 90 series were under the new holland brand with blue paint. They were called new holland tradition. They stopped selling them in 2003 I think
I love the old ford tractors too. I miss them both

You guys are allowed to go to expos?

We have like 2 foremen go and the rest of us stay at work and wait to see what surprise crap they bought us.
>>
>>28797031
Lol, typical that. The brakes on the Clark started failing at one point, but the boss actually got it fixed. I think because I told the boss and he had a go, almost crashing into a roller door, he decided it was worth the fix.

Pic related, but only in the parking lot to make way.

I drove one of this twice >>28796419, but with a sikhammer at rhe back. I didnt know the wheels have 2 mods of turning and the first time I was not understanding why it was not going where I wanted. It was night and I had to walk backwards, no space to turn and I could not see the back wheels were also turning with my front.

And damn, their front part is so heavy, even when empty. Lifting it too fast raises my butt like a overloaded forklift.

>>28797492 I worked with one of these for a full day, one size smaller tho. Had no overhead and both wheels were metal. Shaked my ass like crazy, but fun. First time in my life I saw a soil plot so shiny and flat.

While I usually drive a 3.5t forklift, I had to download a few cars with a forklift maybe twice that weight for somebody once. The pallets were actually not bigger than my usual, but they only had that one forklift. It was sooo sloooooow, but indeed also felt like a tank.

>>28797031
Fuck you. It has been years, and I did not need to remember that.
>>
>>28796419
It's weird how a machine like this can be considered small

Hell yeah heavy equipment thread! I’ve got about 50 heavily wooded acres and every so often I take a look at old Cat high track dozers like the D4H and D5H. I know an excavator is much more versatile in the woods but damnit I want a Cat dozer. It would be mega overkill but a D6R LGP would be my dream machine to fuck around with.

Being North American based with a good union we don’t make third world pay. As an Engineering officer I can gross over $20k/month with minimal overtime. Most time sailing is feet up shitposting. Real work is when something breaks or winter maintenance.
