>I know what I got>holy shit I didn't know those were so expensive>god dammit why is that so cheap and I just spent so much money alreadyHow about a good ol classified thread? Boomers who are fully aware of what is currently in their possession, morons thinking their autistic mods and car care increases the value of the car, and shit you'd buy if you were less than sober. I'll start us off with a listing of a perforated Corvette including photos of their screen and they still couldn't be bothered to rotate images.
>>28796773If I weren't such a wrenchlet this seems like a decent platform for an LS swap or straight up replace the engine with a good one. I do frequent /o/ so realistically probably not for me.
I'd like to find out if there actually is a market for decent condition 40+ year old volvos at $7000 and up. I'd like to ask that market what nature of brain damage they might have.
>>28796775Here's my airplane! I'm richer than you! Please buy my jeep for more money than I paid for the restoration!
>>28796776Oh fuck I just noticed the $20 plastic trophy on the back. For everyone's comedic pleasure. This car was used in a NASCAR event about 30 years ago. Surely someone will buy it for the price of a new car to also sit in their garage for the next 30 years.
Also, I cannot tell if the new captcha caused all the low effort shitposts to decrease, or if the bots cannot complete it to spam bullshit all day.
>>28796774>Pigfat boat anchor cantilevered ahead of the front axleThose pieces of shit already handle abysmally even with the flat 4.
>>28796777>autotragic convertibleHe'll probably get it, too. There are so many greater fools out there who equate "rare" with "valuable," which then becomes self-fulfilling since it is valuable within their community until the greatest fool is found.
>>28796776>puts '90s style paint, decals and wheels on a '70s jeep>has a kino shrike commander despite dogshit taste in vehicle>ALL CAPSI hate boomers so much.
>>28796773>morons thinking their autistic mods and car care increases the value of the carMaybe I'm retarded, but if you take a 2000 dollar car and install a 1000 dollar sound system in it, couldn't the car be worth 3000? Or are people adding a 500 dollar stereo to a 5000 dollar car and thinking it makes it worth 8000 bucks lol
>>28796817honestly for something like that, if the wiring was all done autistically to the point that it looks factory (with perfect crimps etc.) i'd say yes. few people ever bother with that effort, hell, it's a surprise seeing people even just running wires alongside factory harnesses from point-to-point because it's easier to just spaghetti everything.
>>28796773>ITT>poorfags seething at other people's possessions or sale posts.not my cars or money. Not my business. But go on, keep crying why some rare cars are becoming more expensive used. It's not like you'll be buying any of it anyway. Real Boomer shit
>>28796864i feel like it's less crying and more pointing and laughing
>>28796773I love when boomers bork image uploads and just leave them up
>>287967774th gens have basically no star power.Even rare ones don't sell for good money.
>>28796817Nobody gives a shit about the stereo other than does it work or not. Mods almost never add value to a car
>>28796773The last 4 classifieds I have messaged, have left me on "seen." The only one that responded was a fake ad sending people to some special needs guy to fuck with him.
>>28796775That is a sexy volvo and the price isn't totally cracked out. I think that's reasonable these days with some room for negotiation. RWD volvos are getting rare, they were not treated kindly.>>28796998Big dave's spaghetti
>>28796837none of my installs look like that but I get what ya mean>>28797101then it just shrinks your pool of potential buyers? Does everyone just rip out their sound systems when they sell a car?.....explains why my crown victoria came with no speakers and no radio, I guess. And why all the equipment from my dad's Beretta was sitting around for me to eventually split between my own cars all these years after he sold it...
>>28797187NTA but just because you spent money on something, doesn't mean someone else is willing to essentially spend that same money on used parts. Same example of your $1000 car and you spend $5000 on wheels and tires. Nobody in their right mind would pay $6000 for that $1000 car just because YOU spent $5k on rims. Now it might turn that $1000 car into a $2500 car for example, but you never get 100% of your 'investment' back on used parts anyway.
>>28797369offscreen>This truck is for the discriminating collector. Great for car shows or just cruising. Starts right up and runs great any time of year or temperature. Does not overheat. My cars don’t do weather so it has never seen rain or sat in the sun. AKA Garage King under a dust cover. Has a newish battery. I have lots of toys but I am pushing 80 and its time to say goodbye to them. Clean Texas title in my name.HIGH SCHOOL KIDS PAY ATTENTION— IT’S NOT FOR YOUIf it doesn't sell here, I will take it to Streetside Classics in Ft. Worth and it will sell there. They have sold many collector cars for me. I'm just giving the general public a chance at an extreme street rod without the big consignment upcharge. $45,000. Buy this rod and instantly win car shows or just strut your stuff in your Raucus Old School Romper Stomper.
>>28797369On the other hand, a $2500 car with no wheels is maybe worth $500, so sometimes it's worth spending money.
>>28797662Sure, I agree with you to a limited extent. Making sure there are no obvious reliability issues such as having all 4 wheels, no CEL, good windshield, and other maintenance items such as new alternator when its got 150k miles, sure. You'll get decent returns on those spends, not 100% even if you do it yourself, but not "modifications" such as $5000 wheels and tires. A $5000 car with a $10,000 stereo is probably an $8000 car but only to the right buyer. Its like the inverse of "just needs a new battery, its a simple fix but I simply don't have time to do it" sorta thing. "I really liked these mods and spent a bunch of money on them, I'd like for you to pay for them all regardless if you like or even want them.

>>28796773The cheapest and most expensive R34 GT-R's in Australia right now. Expensive one is a rare Midnight Purple IIAUD205K = USD138K
>>28797373I like street rods and old trucks, but to me, this car is a horrorshow.. All panels except the cab are missing and replaced with garbage parts. Truly ugly in chameleon paint and don't get me started on the Harley Davidson memorabilia. As I see it's worth scrap value only.
