70-105 - shithole country
110-130 - gay country
140-160 - based country
No limit - giga based country

Btw Czechia increased speed limits on highways to 150
>>
any measure in km/h = shithole country

I'd rather be allowed to go 140 km/h than 70 mph like you

Hungary is 130 on paper, but up to 20 over is officially tolerated, so it's de-facto 150. The transport minister wants to increase the limit by another 10-20 kmh.

Data on many of the African countries is wrong. When the UN or international agencies come knocking, they'll say whatever gets them money, but, in reality, there are basically no traffic laws in a lot of places. It's nice. I love driving in Mauritania.

>Alaska is 65 mph
Do they even enforce this? Could they even? Even if every citizen was deputized, would they be able to cover enough road to begin to enforce this?
>>
>>28797446
>Greenland 45mph
Yuck, I don't wanna annex them anymore, unless it's too liberate them from that oppressive speed limit.
>>
>>28797446
65mph speed limit on the highway means you won't get a ticket unless you're going 85+ and even then they'll usually just tell you too keep an eye on your speed and let you go
>>
>>28797446
as pozzed as aus can be, it seems that most people just need someone to start the fire so to speak. was doing 10 over during the christmas break and i noticed everyone else would start speeding as well once they saw me flying past them lol.
even now on one road i do 20 over and there's a good chance the cars behind me will also do the same after seeing me do it lel. once flew past a cop going the other way and zero fucks were given. he probably might've turned around if he saw my brakes lit up
>>
>>28797446
It's generally 110km/h on Leaf highways but the right lane is typically moving at 130-150km/h and the left is pretty close to it or slightly higher. Ironically that's faster overall the the average stretch of unrestricted autobahn.
>>
you can't measure shithole with maximum legal speed
you MUST measure it with number of speed cams and their enforceability
nominally WA has "70 mph" speed limit, practically I'm doing 80 in 60 and 85 in 70 with zero issues
nominally russia has 80 mph *somewhere*, but in the cities there's a speed cam every mile which tickets not only speed, but also fucking white solid line crossings and stop signs, AND realistically you cannot challenge the tickets

completely retarded map thank you
>>
I just got pulled over last night for doing 65 in a 50 on a wide, straight road

I hate it here

Anyone else find it tiring to drive at a speed higher than you're used to?
My shithole is 120 kph and driving in a country with 130 kph limits tires me out more. It's like my brain is working outside it's comfort zone
>>
>>28799085
why do you think higher iq countries have higher speed limits

Seeing how fucking retarded and angry the drivers here in Australia, I wished they made the national speed limit 80km/h just to fuck with the cunts.
>>
>>28797446
I think it's stupid that the tiny country like germany has the infinite speed limit instead of one of the bigger places. It would make more sense in russia or the us where crossing the whole country actually takes a long time.
>>
>>28799568
that would only make things worse
>>
>>28799575
Germany only lets people go as fast as they want on the autobahns, and even then that's really just if the weather allows it. Otherwise they're very strict about speed limits and will ticket you even on the autobahn if they don't think you're driving safely, which is entirely at the cop's discretion.
>>
>>28799575
I think in Russia they are not enforced much, video I've seen them drive 150 km or os

>>28797446
I just had to laugh think looking at highways in bali thinking I would get chuckle out of how shit their roads are and even they have a 120km/h speed limit

>>28798064
Just try and look far into the distance and try and see inside other cars before overtaking. Its more if you are going to do it then don't make a scene of it.
I actually used to always go the limit, it wasn't until they did all this shit that I started thinking, hey they are holding me back. Those signs saying watch your speed make me go faster.
>>
>>28799575
Russia is like Ice Road Truckers for the part of the year it isn't a swamp.
Generalisation sucks.

imo the whole speed limit thing is a joke
what speed is safe is a function of the road you're on and the car you're using
a 911 turbo can safely cruise at 120mph(~200km/h) on a good highway. a lada wouldn't be safe at 60mph.
most current speed limits are basically the same as what was there in the 70s, when cars were significantly slower, less good at braking or maneuvering, and way less safe.

ideally, what we should have is a dual rating system.
the road gets a rating, the car gets a rating, and based on the combination of 2, you get the speed limit for your car. which ofc would be easy to remember, since every driver can just remember the limits for their own car, and also, modern cars can easily tell you the limit for themselves because the whole car is computer.

and ofc, some stretches of road should be completely unrestricted, eg long stretches of straight highway running through a desert, at least for modern cars, while others, like urban roads in dense residential neighborhoods, should be very low speed limit for all cars.

indo speed limit is capped at 100 though. but like the US, it's more of a recommendation as most people don't give a shit

I'd find it way more exciting to do 60 MPH on a road like this, than No limit on a highway

>retarded and angry the drivers here in Australia
On that subject: I usually start work between 4am and 6am. It's reasonable to assume that the other cars I see at that time are also mostly commuting to work. About 3kms from my place there is a T-junction with a stop sign. Cops love to sit in the shadows about 200m from this intersection. I have seen them dozens and dozens of times on this route. I stop for all stop signs, because I'm not retarded, but I especially stop for that one. I can safely presume that 99% of the other drivers on that route have also seen the hiding piggies. I am not exaggerating when I say that 80%+ of other cars do NOT stop at that stop sign. They are simply not bright enough to work out that the "reward" of getting to work two seconds earlier is not worth the risk of a $530 fine. Adelaide residents are the dumbest sacks of shit on the planet.
