convertibles add weight. EVs are already ridiculously heavy and low-range compared to equivalent ICE cars, despite using explosive lithium batteries instead of safer LIFEPO4 batteries.

These have been cannibalised over here for EV swaps, along with teslas too.
Obviously the batteries are the biggest issue as there isn't really anywhere in a real car to put them, not ones that give you properly range and not some 60km on a sunny july day bullshit.
