That car has a torque-converter automatic and rwd, so he has to use the brake to limit power to move slowly. This causes the rear wheels to spin while the front wheels still lock up. ABS/ASR/ESP doesn't seem to do shit here. It's all that he's stuck trying to go too slow to let go of the brake and that causes him to lose lateral guidance upfront.
