Tomorrow I am going to look at a jeet yeet 450. Thoughts on this bike?
>>28801372everything I've heard about them is positive, except the more frequent maintenance requirements
>>28801372Poobike. do not redeem
>>28801372SAAR DO NOT BUY
>>28801372Why would you support jobs in literally the most disgusting place on earth? But anything else..
>>28801372i was debating getting this, as it has really good specs on paperbut consider your use case: do you want an adventure bike that can do offroad comfortably, or do you want a dirtbike that can do highways uncomfortablythe himalayan has a single cylinder engine, at 450cc its going to be buzzy and tiring to ride for long periods, the single cylinder vibrations can quickly get very annoyingi settled on getting an old transalp instead, it's heavier and definitely not as good offroad, but it's much more comfortable on long highway stretches, and has proven reliability
>>28803065if honda put the 500cc two cylinder engine into the CRF300 chassis and marketed is a light adventure it would dominate this segment overnight, not a single himalayan or ktm390 adventure or cfmoto ibex would ever be sold againit really is the ideal segment for 50/50 adventure riding, not as heavy as the supposed "middleweight" adventure bikes are nowadays (tenere, transalp, vstrom) and being much more manageable offroad, and without being unbearably uncomfortable for long highway stretches like most dualsports arethey wont do it, because it would hurt transalp and africatwin sales
>>28801372well, as others have already pointed out, its plainly wrong to support any jeet enterprise whatsoever. do not give them any money.as to the bike itself, its a single cylinder, which is going to suck intensely when you're not off-roading. try to find something with a 270deg crank twin, they're much nicerpreferably jap, they're good people and make good bikes. remember, japs make animu, jeets scam your grandma out of her retirement check.
>>28801372Good bike, cheap to buy, cheap to maintain. People are not fan of the tyres. Consider it as road tyre, wear them out and get new ones. Lots of aftermarket options, there are better seats if you feel like seat is pushing you forward.
>>28803800Sus post
>>28801372Big miss imo. Ugly and lost all the charm of the original. 650 is coming out soon too.
>>28803839Agree to the charm of the 411. But I think I need the extra power since I will have a pillion at least half the time. Thoughts?

>>28801372I have one and love it so far. It feels like an improved KLR650 if that's the kind of motorcycle you're looking for. The stock suspension is way better than a bike at that price point has any right to be and it handles well on the mountain roads here. It's also fine cruising comfortably at California freeway speeds thanks to the gearing, unlike the old 411, which was an absolute dog at higher speeds. In terms of fuel economy, I'm getting 65-70mpg even on long winding roads up in the mountainsAs >>28803800 said, the stock tires are basically 90/10 street tires. They're actually pretty good on pavement, but I'd recommend swapping them out if you want to spend more time on dirt.
>>28804310Get it anon, try used market, you might find a 450 for cheap.
>>28804310If you are riding with a pillion so much, there will little "off-roading" involved so you might as well get something more street focussed like a used Versys 650.
>>28801372I prefer the old Himalayan stetically
