The point to a luxury car is to forget that you're driving it and when you realize you are you look around the surroundings and appreciate/critique whatever is in the interior. Manual is better 9/10 but automatic (no paddle dct) is that last 1 when it comes to luxury cars.

It completely depends on what it is and what you want it for. Big comfy GT cruiser for long miles. Most likely an auto. Sports car for a spirited drive down lovely country lanes. Probably a manual. On track trying to go as fast as possible? Yeah double clutch is what you want. Customer should be allowed to choose between a manual or autobox.

The CT5 blackwing exists but honestly the auto might be the way to go
Its a boat with a supercharged v8, you want effortless power, not to really be involved.

Maybe if youre comfortable with both equally, resale value is always higher on the manual because autists will pay extra for it.
But i personally prefer a full size sedan like a 392 charger/300 delivering big power through an auto though.
