Wheels were just hopelessly spinning. Got out to asses what the fuck I was going to do as my only companion was a pony staring at me five feet away. Anyway I try and prod at the ice with my scraper but it was hopeless. I was also wearing trainers with holes in them so I was completely unprepared for the situation. I got back in, I was more concerned with hitting this SUV on my left and the gate on my right than anything else as insurance in the UK is a fucking nightmare. I shifted into second and felt it go forward slightly. Lifted the handbrake to stay in that position and slammed it into reverse and managed to go back far enough just to miss the gate as well. That's the first time I've felt completely hopeless as wellHad to warn a young couple behind me pulling into the car park. I wish the tax and insurance of a 4x4 for a new driver like me weren't stupidly expensive. I'm in my mid twenties but because Ive only been driving a year they're extortionate. Fucking Starmer...

The premiums on insurance as so bad you would be shocked to find someone who wasn't born with as silver spoon in their mouth driving an SUV. I really wanted to learn how to drive so I got the best option I could as I am broke as fuck. My dream affordable car is called a Dacia/Renault Duster.
