hello, first time changing my cv axle. i was pushing the spline into the transmission using the shaft to push in, it clicked in, then i noticed the boot sort of lost its shape and im wondering if i fucked something up. i looked up how the CV axles works and know its just a housing but i was wondering if it is possible for me to completely pull thr tripodal joint out of the housing. sorry if its a dumb question

It's fine. Pushing the shaft into the cup to seat the splines and then relaxing that pulled a slight vacuum on the boot. It'll work itself out in service.
