>*battery voltage drops slightly*
>ruh roh guess i need a brand new one

if you've ever replaced a battery even once instead of simply recharging you're cognitive deficient (intellectual disability)

>bbbut muh crystalz
reversible, peon.

>>
it has no cranking power left in it
you can leave it on the charger for a fucking day and it just falls on its face
>>
what is up with the mass posting of wrenchlets as of late? aren’t you babies meant to be in school right now? go bring your shitbox to a mechanic you moronic faggot, at least they’ll know more than your pea brain despite being retarded alcoholics
>>
contemplating shoplifting car batteries from walmart so i stop hemoraging money while broke
>>

Mate it's a fucking lead acid battery. They are done and dusted for car start use by 7-8 years even if unused and float charge maintained. It's more hassle than worth to recondition with all the shit you have to buy to do it.
>>
>>28803882
I'll show you cranking power *unzips dick*
>>
3.5 year old battery i recently replaced is losing more than 8% voltage a month just sitting.
OP this means the battery might've just barely survived another winter but would definitely have failed on me for the next one.
>>
>>28803853
So how exactly will charging it help if it's showing 10.8v instead of 12.7?
>>
>>28803853
>if you've ever replaced a battery even once instead of simply recharging

You know recharging doesn't always work right? You're not retarded are you?
>>

Fix your parasitic drains...

My current battery dies after two days of not using it, it's the original battery for the car, it's actually undersized and causes electrical issues such as power steering issues when it's fresh and I have a fresh battery that's just bigger and better in every way that would not only last way longer but also it would eliminate all the electrical issues that come from the undersized battery
Why the fuck wouldn't I replace it
>>
>>28804137
You dumb motherfucker.
>>
>>28804651
highly doubt the OEM battery is undersized you retarded armchair engineer

>>28803907
1 year from now, when your new battery is showing the same "symptoms", think of my glistening nutsack repeatedly slapping your mothers rosebud
>>
A retard alert for ants, maybe.
>>
>>28804924
Buddy a slowwww crank when it wasn't even 40 degrees is a weak battery. You are a nigger.
I also replaced the original OEM terminals, which were all kinds of physically fucked up and a whacky weak ass design to begin with, with heavy duty solids.

Do you even spray silicone dielectric on your battery terminals? Nigger?

>highly doubt the OEM battery is undersized you retarded armchair engineer
Trust me, it is, it's not even my theory. It's something that many owners of the car have realized because the car comes with a host of intermittent electrical issues that are all solved by installing a stronger battery.

>shoplifting car batteries from walmart
Too risky. Our kangs break the driver's window, pull the hood release, and take your battery at night.
>>
>>28805759
I don't see the point in doing all that damage to somebodys car for a used battery when theres new ones on the shelf and you probably won't even face any resistance.
>>
>>28803889
I can buy new name brand batteries from a guy for $50. I have abused the hell out of this as I need lots of batteries.
>>
>>28804651
>last longer
This isn't true though. A battery does need to be sized properly for the electrical demand and the alternator's recharge capacity, but going bigger than that has zero benefit to lifespan versus cost.
>>
>>28805796
>shoplifting a car battery
>you probably won't even face any resistance
Around here walmart has loss prevention who will call the cops. But our cops won't even respond to car burglaries.

>Shuck and jive back to 2014 Nissan Altima that was bought on a thirty year loan
>ZERO DOWN, NIGGA!
>Escape in smokescreen the engine automatically deploys every time it starts
>20 minutes later the cops show up to take Walmart's statement
>>
I don't even recharge it, the car does that for me when it's running, maybe if the alternator works. The battery is all kinds of fried and fucked, it's been drained to stone cold dead multiple times, it's been short circuited by shoddy wiring.
It's been on fire once yet it still starts the car in -30°C weather when my choke flaps were jammed and I was starting the car practically without choke, about half a minute of sawing before it barely sputters to life and dies immediately. Repeat that about 3 or 4 times before the car properly started. Oh yeah the grease in my starter also freezes up when it goes bellow -15°C and I'm too lazy to fix it, so I just hold the started button down forcing the solenoid to move until it starts cranking.
The battery most definitely is on its very last legs by now.

>I don't see the point in doing all that damage to somebodys car
It's payback for centuries of abuse.

tfw batteries last 3-4 years tops and cost $200 minimum now
>>
>>28806526
They last a lot longer than that if you're not retarded. They are expensive now which wouldn't be an issue if you were getting some virgin lead but it's all recycled bullshit now even if you go for a Memetima.

>>28806031

It's worth it to buy the expensive kind I think
