is getting an off road vehicle for a daily driver a bad idea? (only car)
>>
a kia sportage with all terrain tires can do 99% of what an off road vehicle can do, unless you are looking to do dedicate off roading
if you just mean for rough roads, a unibody SUV will be far superior on the highway and most of the time

a kia sportage looks gay tho
>>

Buy any Quattro and you'll have the best of both worlds.

poof
>>
>>28805499
don't worry about how it looks, worry about how it drives

>>28805503
Kia has AWD too, and you can get a locking center diff, and skid plates

>>28805504
how do mud tires and at's compare?
>>
I wouldn't offroad my daily for clear reasons, but gas mileage wouldn't stop me from dailying(never leaves pavement) one if I liked it enough.

road noise from the muddies til i uh shaved them lol
at's pretty quiet handles amazing balls of grip offroad and onroad handles insane much better than sticky wank street tyres i had
>>

You'll be fine. Plenty rolling around the streets here (Oz), that have never seen gravel. I'd choose the 4-door though. Longer wheelbase rides better and I think they look better.
>>
>>28805562
The 4 doors are made in India, fucking poojeet garbage, had recalls and shit. Get yourself a Nippon steel 2 door.
>>
FWIW went on a 4wd trip with half a dozen other cars, one nu jimny included, he complained the low range wasn't low enough and we were sand driving where it doesn't matter that much.
Also, apart from that one dude I've never seen anyone other than women driving these things.

>I'm getting a little too obsessed with these little nip things
I'm noticing a lot more kei cars being imported for small 4x4s since the supply of Suzuki Samurais and Geo Trackers continues to dwindle.
>>
>>28805491
depends on the vehicle. Get a nissan armada with AT tyres.

The problem is that if you got 4WDing (hard stuff) things WILL break. So you probably want a 2nd car.
>>
>>28805541
The swift hybrid with manual transmission is only 25k
I'm kinda into it. Tempted to get one to daily drive so I can keep my old sports cars nice.
>>
>>28805587
my brother drives one and he's kinda feminine, he pulls a lot of chicks and is very physically fit but is kinda emotional and "gay". He's never taken it offroad and never will

They aren't great on road, they blow around in the wind and struggle at highway speeds, perfectly workable though
>>
>>28805598
get a base trim manual picanto
>>
>>28805602
Not as pretty and I'm not sure they're as rock solid. Swifts last forever.

Huh? Base swifts are ugly, only the Swift Sport looks respectable. Looks wise I'g pick Swift Sport > Picanto > Swift (non sport)

In reality though if I wanted a small hatch, I'd pick the Mazda2 with it's NA 1.5 engine and 6-speed
>>
>>28805637
About 30% more expensive, better power to weight but heavier and direct injected vs dual port injection on each cylinder.
>>
Why do you want too anon? It's nice having two vehicles. Alows both to be better for their niche. Alas it doent stop any of the mall crawlers.

You could split the difference between commuter and offroader and get a Swift, Ignis, or Vitara with 4grip.
