Have a rocking horse ass flywheel and some of the teeth have sheered. Can't find any for sale anywhere without buying a whole engine aswell.

Could i get away with tacking on a weld where the missing teeth are and filing down some new teeth? I figured wouldn't last long but at least it would be a fix til i find a new flywheel.

Yes, however getting the correct geometry would probably require a gear hobbing machine or lots of patience and a mill with a 4th rotary axis.

Getting a template and filling/scraping until it's nearly perfect >0.002"

It's totally doable, but would require bringing it to a machine shop and would probably cost less than a new engine
