Again, not really sure they were. In the yookay they were about £40k but you didn't need to add any options, compared to the 340i, C43, XE S, B9 S4 they ran about 5-10k cheaper spec for spec.
The main thing holding it back was it probably didn't have the sporting chops of a couple of the others. it's a big lump of a car and had McDonalds up front when the XE S, C43 and Guilia used double wishbones.

Not really, both the Jag XE and the Guilia are much better cars to drive than the 3 Series. I have owned a 3 litre F30 and my XE S brutally mogs the 3er in every aspect of ride, handling and steering.
I also prefer the supercharged V6 over the BMW but that's more personal preference.
