Let's see some cars where you're probably the only person that likes them (either on /o/ or in the world)
>>28819732How come the Twingo is talked about all the time and this is just completely ignored?
>>28819732Look at that glorious ASS
>>28819760would
>>28819732I like the Taurus too it has a special nascar livery in Gran Turismo 2 when you got the racing modification.
>>28819732It's cute.
Have a 1999 Mazda 121 Metro/Demio. It's the first gen of the Mazda Demio which became the Mazda2 in later generations.
God is miss the absolute unnecessary spoiler on my 2003 Camry. I miss that little guy
>>28819907Homologation bro. Those special nitrous oxide tanks in the sills are also bone stock.
>>28819810for me it's the C L U B M A N
>>28819915also HHR panel vans
it's got a goofy smile, i like the happy cars more than i like the angy ones, and the 1990's analogue era was peak sovl imo
>>28819962At least you acknowledge that nobody likes it. The Cavalier was nobody's first choice. It was the car bought by desperate people who refused to buy Japanese and thought GM still gave a shit.
Feels like I'm the only one on /o/ that likes these
>>28820538the eyebrows ruin it for me
like driving a tv, but bench seats are incredibly based
Mitsubisher Colt
>>28819732i liek these for some reason awd v6tt sounds alot of fun in a relatively small fullsize suv/sedan
>rebranded opel>only boomers buy buicks>underpoweredok, but I think it looks decent, and its a 4 seater convertible with 4 actually useable seats.
>>28820886With an inline 6 or at least a twin turbo 4cyl, it would've been pretty decent.
Love this rear end
Morris Marina. I always get an odd, almost pitiful look when I tell people that I want one.
>>28820982Isn't it only famous for being some old mans car in a 70s British show and for being an example of why British Leyland was shit?
Chrysler Centura.Mum and Dad had one when I was little.
>>28821008I've never even heard of this one before nor ever seen one.
>>28821011Maybe they were exclusive to the Australian market.
>>28821011>parts supply, subsequent rust problems, extreme light weight over the rear of the car, comparatively violent acceleration and challenging handling were likely all factors that contributed to their relatively rapid disappearance from Australian roadsThe Australian Ford Pinto kek.
>>28821004No idea about the TV show thing, but the BL thing is about right. They have a reputation for being one of the worst cars ever built, thanks to them being built around the time that BL was imploding on itself. They're also the single most scrapped car in the UK. Over a million were made, yet only 400 or 500 survive on the road today. I just really like the way they look, and thanks to them using the ancient BMC engines, they're surprisingly reliable. My dad always defends them as he's had a few over the years, the worst of which being a van that he abused for a time, and yet refused to die.
>>28821016>light weight over the rearGreat for burnouts, Lol. Also, we used to buy them to grab their narrow tin hat diffs. Sorry Anons.
>>28821035>>28820982Join the owners club, mate.
>>28820929it's a shame the whole thing doesn't light up like a Mark VIII
>>28820538I owned a msport 525d of one of these for over 8 years. Great cars, if you dont mind the odd repair now and then.
I like the coupe. Yes the rear is huge but it makes it looks like a cyberpunk car. Something out of Bladerunner or Ghost in the Shell.
the eagle summit "wagon". this is the perfect car and nobody can tell me otherwise
Bugeye Corolla. Late 90's/early 2000's EU version, before the facelift. It's a Corolla, it drives like a Corolla and it is about as interesting as Corolla. I just like how they look and how easy 90's cars are to work on in general.
>>28821197CTS-Vs are just cool
>>28821197>>28821302People don't like these? I thought they were loved but just really rare. The one thing I know about them is the rear taillights break all the time if you take it through a car wash.
>>28821315/o/ hates the coupe but loves the sedan and wagonI think the coupe is cool
>>28821248had two rollas of this gen1st one was 98 with bugeye, the rubber sealing kept failling off from headlights2nd one was 01 with faceliftboth rusted like hell
>>28821248Always thought it was a shame we never got a fun hot version of this platform outside of Japan. Likely because the insurance jews were being ultra kikey about hot hatches at the time, at least here in bongland. I think they look neat with some minor cosmetic tweaks.
>>28819732
>>28820889>With an inline 6yes transversely mount and inline 6 and have it put down what 300whp to the front wheels?that ain't no polestar v60
I'm the only person on Earth who thinks these are better proportioned than their coupes were at the time. The Vantage, Vanquish, and DB9 looked good, this one looked drop dead gorgeous.
>>28821476I would like this if Peugeot hadn't made the same car but better looking
>>28821531that's the point
I love the front end of these
>>28819845i like it
>>28821528I think they look good, but they don't just call to me. It's not a car I'd seek out over a V8 quattroporte
>>28821537I liked the Dodge Avenger.
>>28821528>better proportioned than their coupesI'm not a fan of this, or how the rear 3/4 looks like any other fake coupe like the panamera/rs5/cls e.t.c.
>>28819732I really fuck with the 93-96 fleetwood broughams. They're just impala SS's in a comfy suit, very quiet, very simple in construction, surprisingly quick if it's got the C4 vette LT1 engine. It's like a rock polished to a super smooth finish, yeah its just a rock at the end of the day but damn it's so nice to touch. >>28821197Agreed, very under appreciated.>>28821302
Export spec kei car, so super narrow and fairly light but with a 1000cc engineThey sold just enough that you can just go out and buy one for little money these days (for now) Reliable and super cheap to run, just not as sporty as you'd hope>>28821035Totally get it, and the fastbacks are really handsome looking cars
>>28821899The rt version is sick
>>28820538Based, they look really good imo. Only plebs disagree.>>28820911One of thew few New Edge designs in the US as I recall. Cool but horribly underpowered, as was standard for the 90s for some reason.>>28820929Very based. This and the Lincoln MKVIII were so damn cool.>>28821197>>28821302Giga based.>>28822001I always liked the long flat rear on these, they're so damn comfy.
>>28822125Those mk7s have an insane interior
>>28822130>entirely driver facing and multi leveledI love it so much it's unreal. The whole thing from inside and out is like a concept car.
>>28822134fucking kino
My Crown Vic, also check em'
every single redditor hates bmw x2 (new one) and I really think it looks fucking sick and I can't wait to buy itI just don't get weird seethe about x2, its not supposed to be a 600hp jeep you dumb motherfuckers its a high tech cool looking coupe
>>28821316Yeah the coupe is ugly, objectively, and did not age well Sedan and wagon are well loved though, though the wagon sold very poorly
>>28823239based
>>28823239crown vics are based tho>>28823286>I really think it looks fucking sick>a crossoverit makes me sick if that's what you mean
>>28819962I always thought they were cute too, same with the Geo Metro.Maybe it's nostalgia for me, but I'll always have a soft spot for that era of economy cars and their looks. Most cars today have the same face as a pickup truck or SUV in a sedan-sized package, and it just looks ugly and awkward.
>>28823592>Geo MetroPeople laughed at it because it made people look poor, but the people that owned them loved it, either because they could mercilessly thrash it and not care, or that it was so ridiculously cheap to run that it got them through hard times. Not uncommon for owners to hit 50mpg in one. The damn thing was cheaper than a bicycle at shartmart for a few years too.A small, cheap, frugal car has its purpose and it changes hands among those who need it. When you don't, you'll appreciate that it was there.Try that with a SUV or a truck and the damn thing will keep you poor forever.
>>28820911>filename
>>28823409>Yeah the coupe is uglyThats your opinion
Every fucking car in this scene is turn of the century GM kino https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcQxWH58EzA
>>28824396modular cars are neat
>>28824387The B / D body cars are imho the best American Full sized sedan to ever grace the earth. They've all aged gracefully too.
>>28821302Yes, sadly it'll never come back.
>>28823482It'd look good with bigger wheels but those ones in that pic are just way too small.
>>28824387I fell in love with this after seeing one in Jumanji when I was a kid.
>>28819732Late 70's fury/monaco. Really any B/R/M body mopar from '75-'89. Complete and utter ghosts, even the forgotten lincoln versailles gets more attention and love.Notable exception is the cordoba/magnum, those have a decent following.
>>28824603who cares how they lookthey still have the nice bmw sound
>>28823711I don't see the Geo Metro on the road anymore, and I assume it's because of the fact they were well loved and well used throughout its lifetime. It was a cheap car and a safety hazard, but if you have one that works to this day it was very reliable.Anyway my point was that I am shocked I still see Chevy Cavaliers on the road. My sister had a '97 in 2008 and it kept wanting to die by that point.
>>28824396>>28824405Poor exa, only being fwd
>>28821528better proportioned...nobut the best overall option
>>28819732is that a
>>28823711my friend had one and laughed at us when gas briefly hit $4/gal
>>28819732Porsche 968 , it's an uglier 944 but I do like it, especially the Clubsport with the color matching wheels
>>28821423Especially considering Toyota had a WRC programme with the Corolla at that time, yet the 'hottest' road-going bugeye model available was a fucking 1.6 with 110hpThey even had the TTE bodykit as an option so the road cars could look the part. They didn't even have to make a Corolla GT4 but something with a minimum of 150hp at least
>>28819760the wagon tauruses are great. the local uni uses these around the campus.anyway, im kind of a fan of this gen of impala mostly cuz i think the tail lights look neat
Perfect car for me. How unpopular it is actually makes it more appealing because I've always wanted to own a car rare enough that I don't always see other people driving every day, yet practical and usable enough to actually drive every day.
>>28825849Oh man what an underrated car, the frogeyes are sick
>>28825849it's actually a good looking car
>>28819732Sometimes an anon says he likes it but it seems generally outside of that nobody really does
nostril birbel es juan powah
Audi 80 b2 is criminally underrated, this platform changed history but it's base only showed up in fh5 in 2024. Still, I love this luxury tincan
>>28819915My mom had one of those and the taillights and reverse lights shorted out and killed the battery because the insulation on the wires literally melted. I fixed it up with some cheap splices (all black wire and unlabeled of course because fuck whoever works on that next) then sold it on craigslist. Absolutely shit car
>>28826082At least wait until they depreciate a little. The price point is the biggest issue
>>28826388My mom drove a Probe when I was a little kid, I'll always have a fondness for them.
Early 90s Lumina Z34
>>28823286>its a high tech cool looking coupeno, it's a fat lump of shit.
I know these were dogshit for reliability but the design of the 2 door really appealed to me
>>28826986>asymmetrical hood
These. I feel like they get shid on often for the branding, and to an extent I can understand. Interior build quality is perhaps a bit lacking, and yeah it's a bit on the chunkier side, but it's actually a blast to cruise around in and represents it's "Grand Touring" badge admirably.
>>28826986I can still hear the 60° GM V6 gargle
>>28819760so much rx7 in this design
>>28823409i have the sedan. the coupes look amazing in person but ive never seen a good photo of one lol. the wagons still go for $60-70k even now being 15 years old with decent mileage
>>28826662i love these man. real life batmobiles lol
>>28821197>>28822020gotta love how those two pictures are taken like a mile away from one another and within 30° of camera directionThe Daihatsu is about 3/4 over that bridge in the background of the Cadillac.>>28821248Still miss my facelifted one sometimes...
It's cute
>>28827019two doors is always better than four. even complete fagmobiles like suvs and trucks become almost acceptable when they have two doors
>>28826986Man i love these
>>28819732 my beloved Geo Prizm/Chevy Prizm (all generations)
>>28825636>my friend had one and laughed at us when gas briefly hit $4/galFrugality isn't sexy until everyone's so broke that hitting rock bottom causes rock bottom to be hospitalized. Sad to say, sense only make sense in unsensible times.>>28824688>Anyway my point was that I am shocked I still see Chevy Cavaliers on the road. It's one of those cars that just manage to run poorly forever.
>>28820886>only boomers buy buicksBuick has been subsidized by the Chinese for ages. The brand has some cachet due to the CCP using them historically as the state car.
>>28825849People hate these? I always liked them
>>28826388I really do like the Taurus and have one, I got it for absolutely nothing since everybody hates it, and a coworker at my last job said "You have shit taste in cars bro" kek.
>>28827202>It's one of those cars that just manage to run poorly forever. It used to be said that Chevrolets would run poorly longer than most cars would even run. Now they don't even do that.
>>28819732I love the new EV Twingo.
No SUV in the last 20 years has had more UTILITY than the Honda I want one so bad but good ones are like 15k
>>28827947>want one so bad but good ones are like 15kTF do you mean, I drive a '05 stick shift element that I paid $6500 for. Granted it has lots of miles on it (180k when I bought it, 245k now) but it's a k series with a stick, mileage doesn't mean anything. Be warned if you buy one that driving in high winds on the highway can be pretty sketchy
>>28827143damn, well spotted
>>28827947everybody loves the element. its one of hondas greatest achievements along with the fit.
>>28827947i own one and it fucking sucks, buy a small van.
>>28827079I have multiple neighbors with one
>>28828218Congratulations(?)
>>288270192 door trucks look insanely aesthetic but it defeats the point of its utility
>>28827947>>28827079>>28826059>>28824604>>28821974>>28821316>>28821197>cars where you're probably the only person that likes themfuckin shig anon
>>28827146Good to see a bit of love for the Murano. It's only real competition was the LR Velor, and I know which one would be more reliable. Fun fact: Murano's are popular in the donk scene.
