Yo fagg/o/ts, should I buy this Westfield Megabusa? It's done under 2k and they want 10 grand.
The fuck?
>giant muffler on the leg pipesNo
>>28824344Your fat calves can't reach over it?
>>28824346It'll cause pipe rot by not allowing them to reach full vibrational density at higher RPM.
>>28824339They're bike fuel tank pads
>>28824334Do it. Probably get a heat shield for that can while you're at it.
>>28824351Yes, but why?
>>28824334Hell yeah, I remember reading about these a long time ago

OP here. So, I feel I ought to elaborate a little.I'm in the market for a fun second car, something light and analogue which I might maybe track occasionally (I used to race karts a long time back; was shit at it, but it was good fun) but that wouldn't be its main job. I know the more normal, sane thing to do would be just get an MX5 or ZZW30 or whatever. However, this particular car just happens to be being sold by a friend of a family member, and it just seems a much, much more interesting option.Questions is would I just be buying the entirely wrong thing for the job and cursing myself to a completely miserable ownership experience, or would it still be entirely competent if rather excessive for use mainly as a fun road car?
>>28824361That barely registers as a joke, that just looks fucking retarded.
>>28824349Sorry, but cars are built for white people, not inbred voodoo priests
>>288243442 minutes with a sawzall
>>28824344Nonracer detected.Pretty much every racetrack has, or is getting stricter and stricter on noise rules. You have to keep your car or bike quiet enough to race, or the track ultimately gets shutdown for noise pollution.Noisefags and emissionsfags are ruining our little hobby
>>28824351>bike fuelIs that different to car fuel?
>>28824968bike — fuel tank, ESL-kun
>>28824380Go for a run out in it. They’re brutal. Make sure it’s got a reverse (electric or otherwise) and see what it’s like in trafficThey are pretty unique. Busa engined cars are the most “car like” out of all the BEC options but for fast road use they’re overkill and are still more suited to the track. All that said, 10k of car for something that will be faster than a 911 Turbo is a steal
>>28824970I see, so the post was poorly written.Perhaps rephrase as>These are the pads from a motorbike's fuel tank
>>28824970Some of these had Transit fuel tanks that were chopped and welded. OP, is it a Q plate? Factory or home build? Reverse or no reverse?

>>28828157there’s a reason nearly all of these have low miles on them and tend to be used as track weapons
>>28828170>there’s a reason nearly all of these have low miles>no heat in the winter>no a/c to demist on a rainy summers day or cool downThey can only be used for very short periods of time without being utterly useless.
