It's pretty based, I'm not a fan of timing belt, but I do like the idea of water pump being replaced before it fails every 100,000 miles, with K series, you just kinda run the original water pump until it leaks or fucks something up.

Its a good engine but I don't see what it offers over its toyota or nissan rivals
