Are you ignoring one right now?
>>
>>28831616
Nah, my car doesn’t have one.
>>
>>28831616
Been ignoring it since it came on back in '92.
>>
No but I used to drive a Mk4 Golf and that literally always had a CEL.
>>
>>28831634

>>
>>28831616
It usually works
>>
>>28831616
it's come on twice in the last year and went away after i gave 'er the old italian tune up.

It comes and goes but I need to fix this piece of shit, it's an unclearable code.
>>
>>28832001
Just get a defouler already. Takes all of 5 slap one on and be code-free.
>>
>>28831616
Bought a 5th gen Explorer cheaper because it had a CE light for catalyst efficiency. Proceeded to ignore the light because no emissions checks around here. It went out.

This. I have done this going fully catless and it works. Your secondary (post-cat) O2 sensor is just there to check catalyst efficiency, in 99.9% of cars it is not considered by the ECU for anything else and you don't need it. Just move the sensor away from the pipe, badda-bing.
>>
>>28832001
Same, mine just went away, I'll wait till winter is over

I've replaced everything that's cheap/easy. I guess next step is dropping the tank or selling the car.
>>
>>28832107
You checked the vent valve and charcoal canister?
>>
>>28832111
Vent valve, purge valve, new gas cap.
Haven't done charcoal canister because a new one was like $400. Was thinking maybe checking for a cracked hose or fuel pump seal or something but I need to drop the tank for that.

The 10 year old battery has given me a low battery warning once, it hasn't appeared again yet

I’m riding with 3 horseman of Subaru owners.
Check engine, traction control and cruise control error.
Air sensor fault. Changed the sensor and didn’t work can’t figure it out. I have a custom map and probably need to delete air recirculation. Also I’m tired.

I bought new wheels and tires combo online and installed them about 8 years ago, they don't have tpms sensors in them so I get to stare at the light on the dashboard.
>>
P0193 high fuel pressure.
Occasionally it happens for long enough that the fuel pump stops delivering fuel and it dies while driving. I have no idea I'd it's the sensor or the connection or the wires.
>>
>>28833250
I also have to tell the ecu to check for them monthly otherwise my pos won't let me go over 80mph
>>
>>28834167
Mine will take whatever current level as standard and flags variances.
I've not tried zero.

I rolled a car in the snow once, it still ran fine but it got a check engine light. A few months later I heard a bang from the engine out of nowhere and the light went away.

I stopped procrastinating today. Had a slow puncture so I went to the local mechanic to see if it was repairable.
It was repaired, £20 for it. A new Pilot Sport 5 tyre costs £160 to be fitted. Bretty gud.

Have had a transmission oil leak for about 18 months, refilled about two gallons, but now it's speeding up so I'm gonna have to get it fixed.
At least my oil is fresh.
>>
>>28836193

I've got a pretty gnarly gudgeon pin/rod knock and flogged tappets sound I've been trying to ignore because I literally have no garage space to drop & rebuild the engine again, I think more oil stabilizer will make it go away again for a little bit

This, nibbas will turn a spark plug/coil pack or a sensor into a that and the entire catalytic converter because they burned the thing up, it sucks cats can't live forever even when the engine never gets to a point where it's misfiring, but you can extend the life as long as possible if you're not dumping straight fuel into it.

With a scanner you can read the code and ignore it confidently.
>>
>>28845094
Not all of them, if a code is simply stored it'll be gone, but if it's got a permanent code and you clear it, it will stay in the computer as pending and pop up once the monitor is set because cars are stupid

>>
>>28831616
Yes, I had to cut out my cat to get my car to run so I have a permanent CEL now. When I finish building the replacement engine I'll give it a new cat, no sense in buying one now that's just going to get clogged with blowby again.
>>
>p0420
Ayy lmao. But seriously there is no cat. Now the flashy p0300 has me conserned.
