Yeah, good luck with that.

I'm gonna say it: I don't care about the VAG 1.8T
>>28839235It changed history though…
>>28839238I don't care. There are far more interesting and reliable engines VAG has made. The VR6 is commendable for providing smooth power in a compact package. The 1.9 is infamous for it's go-devil like robustness. The 2.5 is a great motor with a great sound. Not to mention the W engines, the V10, and many more technological masterpieces the VW group has come up with. The 1.8T is just another engine, it isn't as significant as the other ones imo. Sure, it may be one of their most popular engines and an affordable power package, but I don't particularly care about that.

I’m afraid it must be said. All those plastic leasebait turkroach autotragic shitboxes get utterly and I do mean utterly raped by Porsche. Best remember that brown son.
Don't care, my MK5 Golf mogs your Porsche because it costs me nothing to run and I am not afraid of a little snow and salt seasoning up my chassis.
>>28839507What the brown dog yappin about? RBP small son best not forget that.
>>28838628AHAHAHA
BMW is raped by VW. Best remember that yellow dog

Kek this cute lil chick can drive a LOWERED car, but the flyoverlets on this board are too fuckin SCARED or sonethinglollolbmaooo0o0o0o even
>nooo that car is LOWERED you LITERALLY can NOT drive it ANYWHERE that's PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBR--"Ack!!" to use the parlance of our times
>>28839966It was tuned by professionals who adjusted the entire suspension geometry not just dump it and put it in soft street coil overs
>>28840002So why do ricers always bring up the ground clearance?? And why don't you all get a PROFESSONALE race team to adjust your entire suspension geometry (they don't do that lol), like I did?
>>28840018You know, from PROFESSIONALES like CARBAHN?
>>28840018Porsche Audi RS and M literally do have the race teams tune the suspension. It’s part of why the cars are so good. I just don’t understand why you would remove their work and claim a one size fits all street coilover is better
>>28840023See >>28840018If the beancounter suspension is tuned for the track, why do PROFESSIONALE race teams need to MODIFY them?!
Why do you ricers act like cars aren't neutered to appease the old guys that buy them? Why would Porsche need to collaborate with Manthey to make their cars faster on the track, if their cars are already built for the track?
>>28840027Every track gets a unique set every year, that’s why they have practice sessions. It’s a complete misunderstanding to presume the Manthey kit for the 911 GT3 is ‘better’ than the stock one. It depends on the track and tires and weather and driver. It’s a collector kit more than an ‘upgrade’. It’s like 9% different in the suspension. A good coilover lets you adjust rebound in discreet settings so you can match the rebound to the track you’re at. The consumer ones have 1-3 settings so make it easier and ‘good enough’. The electronic systems in modern cars are better. They’re just not legal in Motorsport because of budget control. A Porsche adjusts the dampers to the road in real time on the Turbo and high end models. It’s the dream for a race car.
>>28840045None of that is true though
>>28840047 Brother unless you are timo Bernhardt and have a full aero kit you will not benefit from a manthey kit which is designed to keep the aero kit from floating at 10/10th. You dont have an aero kit on your M5 and the coilover you chose is designed for curbs and potholes at the local Starbucks. It’s not the same at all.
>>28840049If the edc bullshit is better on track, why does Manthey remove it to be faster on said track?!You're so disingenous it's fuckin hilariousIf your car is still on its stock lift-kit, your opinion on anything having to do with fast cars is completely unfounded
>>28840054The Manthey kit adds downforce and at high speeds cars behave differently with high downforce and PASM was designed with the lower downforce ‘cup’ style GT3 downforce in mind. The PASM doesn’t maintain the right rake and pitch for the flick and wing and I think it has a diffuser. The aero doesn’t work right and that makes it harder still for drivers to manage. The aero pushes down on the front and the rear and the PASM isn’t designed for this and so it pushes back and you get an unpredictable change of damping as the aero load picks up. It also needs the rake to stay correct at all speeds and the active PASM can mess with the rake as downforce is generated and the downforce is then less consistent which is and to drive and predict. You’re not running GT3 levels of downforce you’re better off with edc.
>>28840045rebound is nacro term collapse is more like it
>>28839235if they made aab in longitudal would it not be third tilt engine among saab and volvo
>>28840054>why does Manthey remove it to be faster on said track?!NTA but streetcar EDC is very different in performance and cost vs the EDC used in true race cars. If EDC wasn't an advantage, then F1 wouldn't have banned it (Williams FW14B) and LMP1 cars wouldn't have used it (Audi R18, Porsche 919, etc.).
>>28840087surely you men dnf
>>28840072The manthey coilover kit doesn't add downforce... I'm not reading anything you say anymore you're disingenuous as fuck
>>28840087And yet F1 cars are faster than 911s with edcWeird
>>28840231So you’re just a retard ok every subject
>>28840233And yet my m2 is faster than your m5, that must mean all I6s are better than V8s. ^This is how you sound right now kiddo.
What's hilarious is retards who will never track their car are talking about race suspension
>>28840515I track my shit every year. Pedro doesn’t he actually drives his car bow a bean counter expects him to ironically. It will never be as good as a Phaeton so idk why he bothers with it
>>28840307So you’re just a retard ok (sic) every subject
>>28840405LOL your mexican made narb isn't as fast or as luxurious as my fully BUILT F10 M5 CompetitionI bet it's still on its stock lift-kit!
>>28841065LOL what car do you track? This board is so fucking hilarious
>>28841097The coilovers are tuned for the aero. The PASM unit is not. That’s the only reason it’s changed out. My Porsche.
>>28841147The coilovers are 4-way adjustable THOUGH??You clearly don't have a Porsche lol
ok but why u maf tho
>>28841228Your edc was 3 way adjustable from the cabin while driving
>>28841274No, it was only one-way adjustable (stiffness) with only three different settings, and it sat too fuckin' HIGH due to beancounter neutering
This is quite literally the best car ever made. Nobody we’ll ever build a car with out budget constraints ever again. It’s pathetic how bad the new 7 and S class are by comparison to this 20 year old model. I’m offended at the industry desu.
>fully BUILT F10 M5 Competitionwhat year is it, 2012? nobody gives a fuck kek
>>28842275His m5 is Fully BUILT FOR BBC
I heart my bug!
>>28842404is it a 2.5?
>>28842404There are a lot of these on the roads still desu. I think Toyota fags need to kneel
What do we think of the post-2016 2.0 TFSI
>>28842681Super strong and reliable except the waste pump . Forged internals can be reliably tuned but I did find boost leaks when I did mine. Overall it’s good for a 4cyl but is still recommend a V6 or V8
>>28842704and the 1.8 TFSI?I need a car and I've been eyeing the Audi A3 as a daily drivernothing fancy just a little petrol car to get around the city and go on a road trip every now or then
>>28842418Late response but while the pic wasn't mine, I do have a 2.5L yeah (2010 bug specifically)
>>28842730A3 is a very nice car for a transverse engine MQB. It’s the best you can get off of the platform. Aluminum leather some tech good stereo and relatively easy to work on. Get the 2.0T imo. It can be boosted to 400hp if you want. And it’s fine pretty smooth stock without much turbo lag and plenty of power. There also good suspension changes if you want to make it behave like a sport car. It’s really nice to do what ever you want to it
>>28842852Nice. Not as good as the pre '07 2.5s, but a solid engine nonetheless.
The RS6 will be dead this year. Thus ends non hybrid V8s.Max Verstappen was bitching about F1 being ruined by a formula e formula coasting bs too. It’s over
