It looks a lot better to have an excessively high beltline than a discontinuity in it, and the impact on visibility of the belt line being 3-4" higher in the front to match the hood line is minimal. It's not like you get optimum <90° arm out open window angle with modern cars anyway since beltlines are high no matter what for side impact reasons.
