Are there any exciting new cars coming in the next year or two in the 30-75k price range?

Seems like there is literally nothing new in the next 2 years. Prelude was a joke.

If there is nothing, what's not discontinued? Supra, Camaro, and CTR are discontinued. Z is still a joke. Mustang is kind of pigfat now.

the new prius has pretty good styling.

>claw lights
>triple chin fenders
>four levels of bumper inserts
>extremely raked windshield
It's shit and you have no taste.

No

ok I’m sorry

post a car you think looks good
>>
SHirley there must be something on the horizon with 350bhp, 1100kg, double wishbones all round, 9000 rpm redline and available for under $50000 right?
>>
>>28843591
Some good-looking cars off the top of my head: R129 SL (no two-tone), GMT400 Suburban, Volvo 940 (long front overhang a big minus though), FD RX7. If you insist on nucars: Dallara Stradale (shit headlights though), JMEV 01 (rising beltline is unfortunate though).
>>28843597
Dumb criteria, a better one is: RWD, proportionally large glass area.
>>
>>28843389
What's your excuse for not building a kit car?
>>
>>28843768
It's significantly more expensive than buying a good car if you don't already have the space to build one.
>>
>>28843389
yeahsure
automakers have a lot of deadlines coming up for really expensive shifts in manufacturing & design so legacy "cool" nameplates will be rotated in to help foot the bill. nothing will be completely "unique" (think reused platform, new body lines, or same motor but now it's more turboer) but it's better than nothing. fwiw I think the MR2 will be a 27 car, and Toyota GR is basically getting ready to lineupmog the industry. the bar is in hell so that's only as impressive as you want it to be, I'll admit I'm biased
>>
>>28843775
It's more expensive? What's the cheapest production car with a mid mounted 500hp V8, a manual transmission and a sub 2500lb curb weight? If you "don't have the space for one" then you should fix your life first before wasting money on toys you can't afford or shouldn't be owning.
>>
>>28843785
>fix your life
What exactly are you suggesting here? Make three million dollars to buy a house and then be 50 years old? Or move to some rural shithole with no jobs?

Also, that's an unnecessary criteria and kit cars that fit that criteria have expensive transaxles anyway.

If you live somewhere where you need to make 3 million a year just to buy a house/condo with a garage or multiple parking spaces that's definitely something that needs fixing. You don't need to move to a rural shithole to achieve this.

>that's an unnecessary criteria and kit cars that fit that criteria have expensive transaxles anyway.
It's not unnecessary when that criteria is easily achievable if you put some effort in. There are sub $10k transaxle options out there.

I'm seeing a common theme here. You people are lazy fucks who want shit served to you on a gold plate.

>You people are lazy fucks who want shit served to you on a gold plate
Of course. Everyone wants that.

Where's your kit car?
>>
>>28843389
>pic unrelated, might never come out
Toyota literally jokingly teased midship this midship that like less than a month ago at Tokyo Auto Salon
>>
>>28843854
I drive for a living and closest tracks are too far away so a kit car is pretty useless to me. If I were in the market for that type of vehicle a kit car would be my choice.
>>
>>28843858
Idk, sounds like you need to fix your life
>>
>>28843768
They are shit. Unusable, unsafe, unreliable and get smoked by cheaper production cars, and I just mean parts. There is a reason everyone sells them with less than 200 miles on the clock. And that's not even mentioning that no one ever gets the suspension right.

>>28843780
Just say you just watched to youtube video please. It's less gay that way.

>>28843785
Blah, blah, blah muh skillz. We actually did a cost analysis on the superlite cars and building them to sell. It made zero fucking sense with a free shop.

>>28843806
Oh, you posted the piece of shit. I like the GT better, but whatever.

>>28843858
Or a V8 Miata like everyone else. Maybe stop listening to flexing dipshits that have no idea what they are talking about with muh kit cars.

Not a bad deal if you can work from home. Takes an hour to reach civilization but I think it's worth it.

"Kit cars are shit"
My brother in Christ, you made the car
>>

Miata.

my gf made lasagne last night. no wait, i mean she assembled lasagne last night you autistic fuck.

DOA
>>
>>28845217
you start with the 90's miata that is emissions exempt an ls3 and the swap kit that can be easily found via google.
>>
>>28843992
there are levels to kit cars, the cheapest way to go fast is an exocet and you choose the powerplant with a standalone ecu system. But then most people think superlite/factory five/vw butchery when they think kit car.
>>
>>28843995
his dick game must've been on point that night, only reason she would chase that hard.

These things are cheap and fast too though the Cobalt SS donor you need are getting a little hard to find.

>>
>>28843389
The 400Z is good looking and prices should be normal now so get one in 6 speed manual.
I hear recent mustangs aren’t total dogshit either now, so maybe look into those. Stellantis is fucked, nothing good coming from them. All automakers (except Toyota) assumed this would be the last gen of ICE cars, now EVs failed (again) and Trump rolled back regulations, so I’d buy used or wait for generational redesigns in 1-2 gens after the stupid manufacturers go bankrupt and new ones take advantage of the lowered regs. Current ones will still build slop even if allowed to build v12 chadmobiles simply because they’re full of commies.
>>
>>28845202
Well we assembled a baby all night
>>
>>28845269
I'm legitimately curious how these fare as an actual performance car, since it uses the MX-5 drivetrain, but weighs way less

https://youtu.be/3WIhJqvs1vY
>>
>>28845269
Why don't people just use a different donor? yeah I know it's designed around the cobalt ss but I'm sure you could force different donor parts to fit. If people can build cobras with bmw parts you can rig a goblin to use something else.
>>
>>28843435
I really really like this styling cue.
