My mom is in the market for a new car and wants some sort of smallish (but not too small) crossover. Anything around 50k or less is fine. Her absolutes are as follows:>can't be slow, needs to be sporty. Specifically mentioned wanting a turbo.>can't drive like a boat>comfortable interior, she doesn't care about connectivity or anything, just comfy leather seats and a well made cabinCan you bros help me out here?
>>28843968>some sort of smallish (but not too small)How tall is she?
>>288439715-4 or 5-5ish. She doesn't want the subcompact crossover types, just the regular crossovers that still driver like cars, specifically sporty cars. I've checked out some Audi, BMW, Mazda, but yea I dunno. Budget is flexible for her, but she doesn't need a 75k set of wheels or anything lol.
>>28843975Oh cool. She doesn't have a husband to help her with funding a car?
>>28843968Just get her CRV. Lie to her tell its the SPORTS PACK WOAH edition. All eggshits have turbos now.
>>28843977He died last August from cancer. So now I'm in the hot seat and kinda not prepared. Hence my thread.
>>28843978She has an irrational hate for Honda. I tried to talk her into buying Honda when I was in middle school too. She's hated that car brand her entire life for some reason. Whenever I ask her why she refuses to elaborate. She'd walk before driving a Honda and that's about all I know about the situation.
>>28843979I'm sorry for your loss. Is she still wearing her wedding ring?
>>28843982Never looked but I'd assume she is. They were together for like 40+ years.
>>28843968turbos are basically standard in modern cars and crossovers will never be sporty. got a dodge stratus with a few humble mods.
>>28843981I'm googling around and there's really nothing but expensive af german suvs in the sport crossover segment for 50k unless u go used. Hyundai Kona N word edition? Man these cars are so wack
>>28843968Mazda cx5 or cx50 checks all of those boxes
>>28843987Her current car is an 18 Mustang Ecoboost premium which she loves driving. My first advice to her was to just find a beater truck on Nextdoor or Facebook and use it when she needed to haul shit.
>>28843983That's tough. Could you maybe post a photo of her feet???
>>28843996How often is she needing to haul stuff? You can rent a truck cheap from Home Depot
>>28844018She's one of those yardmaxxers. Lives in an HOA and wants the sexiest yard in the community. She's always after stones, gravel deliveries, mulch, etc. Most of this wouldn't even be doable with a crossover but maybe you should talk to her.
>>28844020>>28843968subaru crosstreck
>>28844024the first rec ITT I haven't actually looked into. will do, thanks.
Who told your mom about turbos lmao. You need to protect the bag little nigga. 50k on a cuckover today means another 30k wasted that could be invested and compounding til she dies and it's yours.Look at used low mileage Mazda cx-5s. Fast enough for a 60+ year old woman and there's bound to be some certified pre-owneds sitting on dealership lots so she doesn't have to feel poor when she goes and buys it.You sound like a bitch though and theres enough indicators that you're Asian so I'm sure she'll end up with a Porsche Macan and will donate the entirety of your inheritance to a church because you haven't gotten an MD, a wife and a grandson for her yet. Better luck next time
Mazda cx 70 turbo s premium in pink. Perfect car for stupid women that need to waste money on cars. At least it has 320hp i6
>>28844026they're small. cabin and boot are identical to the impreza (in the previous gen).I remember forcing my wife to test drive one when she wanted to "upgrade" her older impreza and kept going on about how she wants more space, but wouldn't beleive me when I said it may as well be the same car. impressively, she sat in one for a test drive and immediately went "this is the same fucking car, but higher up" and didn't even take it off the lot
>>28843968Stelvio
2021 macan s with carmax/carvana warranty, relatively reliable for kraut shit and pretty fun for a crossover
You probably want a mazda or a bmw x something
>>28843968The Alfa Romeo Stelvio starts at under $50k, Giorgio platform just like the Giulia with the carbon driveshaft/double bones/ZF8/no iPad screen and a 0-60 in the low 5s stock. Column-mounted paddles and an LSD come with the Veloce package. Toss a JB4 on it (doesn't void warranty) and that 0-60 also drops into the high 4s while still getting 30mpg highway and handling better than most other cuckovers around. My second vote would be for a CPO BMW X3 M40i. Steering feel is weaker as is handling with the front strut suspension, gay iPad dash too, but that sweet B58 with 355hp stock makes it all worth it. It's more than reliable enough where a used one with a few miles on it should be no problem at all, since 200k+ miles B58s are already popping up left and right anyway.
what a fascinating glimpse into what goes on in these peoples' minds. they all think they're luxopremium tastemakers who will live forever, not status symbol obsessed leatherskins already on their next-to-last chapter.I hope the budget accounts for an inheritance or something, and it's already in an account somewhere that can't be touched. because the elder care industry is poised to take what that would have been away from you in just a few years, and selling the car used won't make it up
Cx-5 with a turbo>>28844662>30mpgBro my giulia gets 20mpg. It only hits 30 when on the highway cruising.
>>28844662Nah get the dodge hornet instead
>>28843968>needs to be sporty>can't drive like a boatjust get an actual car
>>28844573>just get a luxury SUV for carrying around landscaping and gardening supplies
