Australia people. Looking for a mid or full‑size SUV around $45–50k max. Mostly on roads, but want to handle occasional gravel/national park trails. Secondhand obviously because you can’t really get a decent awd mid/full sized suv for under $65k nowadays. So far leaning towards a 2022 rav 4 edge or possibly a 2023 forester(but heard meh things about them)
>>28846568Ausfag here, I bought a 2018 qx80 with 99k kilometers on it for only 45k from VIC, Really good value its basically a 300 series but half the price, great offroad loads of space. That's a real body on frame 4x4 though. if you want a npc mobile just get a crosstrek or forester
>>28846572My wife wants something a bit more modern. 2021 and up basically. Was trying to convince her on an outback but she thinks they look too much like a mum wagon. The foresters interior suite leave a little to be desired
>>28846572Just gave it a google though. Thats a lovely car
>>28846568You could buy a mustang gt for the same price
>>28846579Can’t fit two road bikes in bumblebees boot
>>28846581Can get a roof rack or rear rack
Don’t know how much it is in Dollarydoos but an X3/X5 is worth looking at and in the UK they’re about as much money as a RAV
>>28846598way more expensive in australia, BMWS are a lot more expensive here for some reason
>>28846598Also I live 4.5 hours from Perth. Don’t really want a European car because there’s no authorised dealers in my neck of the woods
>>28846613Luxury car tax that only still exists to make you buy a Chinese car for half the price. Our government is bought.
>>28846622So get the mustang fucks sake
>>28846649Brother I already have a wife, I’m not getting a yellow mustang to go out trawling for white trash girls with an eyebrow piercing
>>28846647its apparently going to be abolished in the next month or so in a trade deal with the EU>>28846655ignore him, its this one autist who bought his mustang a few months ago and has been spamming it since
Just get a dual cab like everyone else
>>28846655So do I that is why I bought her a wagon.
>>28846668I would do if all hilux or dmax in my area weren’t over priced as fuck. All I hear is rangers, bt50s and tritons are shitboxes
>>28846660When will you stop being mad about me constantly winning life jannie? You are showing envy.
>>28846674Get a d max those are good cars that engine is a beast for a 4cyl
Heard the Duster and Bigster were now available in Australia. Not exactly luxury car, but it's solid and relatively cheap. Although probably not many dealers.
>>28846680Wtf are these? Chinese shit?
>>28846568Mid sized mostly on road I'd choose the Cx-5 for how nice it drives, off road the Subaru. A bit bigger and I'd probably look at a Mitsubishi phev.
>>28846691Worse, Romanian.
>>28846598>an X3/X5 in the UK is about as much money as a RAVwtf?CANADA:base model comparisondealer prices 2026• BMWTHE X5: .....................$98,000 CADX3 30 xDrive: .............$60,000 CAD• TOYOTARAV4 LE AWD: ..........$36,768 CADnot the same price here, clearly.
>>28846568>but want to handle occasional gravel/national park trailsif you can drive a forester there you can drive a rwd/awd sedan. there's no reason to buy a crossover apart from blending in with your npc neighbours. you could buy a SS commodore wagon for that money and break free from the chains. if that's not vanilla enough, a bmw 530d estate or a VAG wagon are borderline enthusiast cars. >>28846576>My wife wantsnever mind.
