>slowly fixed up my project car>Engine shit the bed, oil is pure glitter>Spend the summer learning how to pull and rebuild an engine >Car runs great>Have absolutely zero interest in driving it, would rather drive my daily shit boxI've felt this way for 6 months now. I've thought about selling it and getting another project with a bit more utility to it. I'm not expecting to make my money back on the car at all since it was mostly a learning experience anyways, but what do other people on /o/ do with their projects?
I pick what i know i want to keep. But if you've lost interest AND fixed it just sell it.

>>28848018Buy a better project car.
>>28848018Sometimes the journey beats the destination. Like a road trip.
>>28848018I'm in the same boatI know once the engine is replaced it will be good as new but I got over the car. Going to try and sell it soon
Watch this guy sell his car and then two weeks later make a thread asking if it's normal to feel emotional when selling a project car. I've been on /o/ for too long I know how the story goes.
>>28848991Yep.
I let my current one marinate for a year then I fixed her and kept driving
I buy multiple project cars and sell any that I don't enjoy working on or are to rough for me.I normally make a couple of bucks and get to have fun with a rotating supply of cars.
I have a 2005 Civic, worst generation, worst engine, rebuilt title and falling apart but I love the thing to pieces. I don't really care for my real project as much as I do for the Civic :(
sunk cost fallacy
>>28848018Here is how I reignited my interest in a neglected project car:> Daily blew its motor yesterday> Can't afford to buy another car> Neglected project car must now become my daily by MondayHope this helps!
>>28849811Op here, did you curse me? My daily started misfiring under load and now I feel unsure about selling it until I can actually diagnose this
>>28848018You like fixing cars more than driving them.
