It's a Hummer EV. Literally just badging. The original HMMWV's or H1's aren't tanks, but they're almost certainly more durable. One with stock suspension probably would've ridden over the front end of the other car, though at that speed and head on just about any vehicle would have front end suspension damage.

If you watch old cars doing small overlap vs modern cars you'll see that this controlled failure is part of the strategy for dealing with redirecting the crash instead of just smashing dead stop into the frontal overlap barrier. It's just a more modern evolution of crumple zones.
