Is /o/ looking forward to the Toyota GR GT?
>>
Not really. By the time it rolls off production we'll be looking at 75k rehashed rc-f thatll still get btfod by a plain jane 5.0 gt stang
>>
>>28852636
No, I have a hard time giving any shits about yet another 6 figure shitbox for richfags to circlejerk over and buy "as an investment" and proceed to let it rot in a garage forever without ever driving it.
>>
hell yes dude i am so freaking pumped for another $250k+ limited production supercar. it's such an underrepresented segment of the industry.

Yes, thank god they brought back the affordable 2 seat $40k sportscar
>>
>>28852636
i think grgt is a pretty cool car
>>
>>28852636
Nope. "Collectors" will buy all of them before they're on sale, they'll be $400,000 and slightly faster than a Dark Horse Mustang, and then only rich youtubers will drive them for about 2 years before selling them to anyone willing to buy them (after the market has been sufficiently hyped by by themselves). They'll be common on the internet for about a year then fade into irrelevancy.

Yeah, I'm a little salty its yet another car for youtubers and people who have so many cars they don't care about this but had to find something to spend money on.
>>
>>28852860
yeah. it's all so tiresome really.

looking at toyota's upcoming range and the demise of dodge it looks like mustangs will be the only na v8 on the market in future. apparently ford is going to expand the range accordingly.

Possibly H-pattern manuals too. I've heard BMW might go with Tremec for their next manuals, but I think its a rumor?

However Dodge is also rumored to be putting Hemis into everything, how you include a manual in a Hemi SUV or truck I don't think will happen like the SRT10 Ram back in the day.

I haven't heard anything fun coming from GM; feels like they're usually 10 years too early or 10 years too late on their products. Corvette's only rumors are returning to front engine, but even then I don't see them ditching their current mid engine platform anytime soon to try and recover R&D costs.

Anybody here have a quarter million dollars to spend on a new Toyota? I would rather build a new house.

Personally, I can't wait to never see one on the road and find one on bring-a-trailer occasionally for six million dollars.
>>
>>28852636
Another car I will never be able to afford, and wouldn’t buy over a 911 gt3 even if I had the money.

Who cares
>>
>>28853090
Is that car balanced correctly?
>>
Do you guys really care that much about stuff like this? It's going to cost as much as a house
>>
>>28853101
God I wish houses were that cheap around me. The house I grew up in was $600,000 last I looked and my parents bought it in the late 80s for $130k. It's doubled from what they sold it for just 10 years ago.
>>
>>28853109
And no it's not in California.
>>
>>28852929
Where'd you hear that from? Dodge Challenger is getting an I6 then a Hemi, Ram is getting Hemis, a durango and possibly other dodge SUV (including jeep) is getting a hemi.
>>
>>28853109
lol well that's how it is. Move to the middle of nowhere

dodge? their whole emuscle plan.
>>
>>28852636
No, I am not looking forward to a glorified Prius. Cut the hybrid bullshit, drop 1000 lbs, and maybe it would be interesting.
>>
>>28853260
That was last year, before they fired their hippie CEO for fucking the company hard. Now they're back on the hemi train.
>>
>>28853267
good. fuck those fags.
>>
>>28853000
Bro you drive an automatic, just shut the hell up lol
>>
>>28853093
Having the engine center of mass way in front of the front axle seems to work ok for audi. Or at least they can make up for it with torque vectoring diffs and sheit.
>>
>>28852636
nah, even if I could afford it I wouldn't get it because driving it will be ass due to zero visibility. already went though that bullshit with the nupra
>>
>>28852661

>>

Matter to whom? People buying the new Hemi and Hellcat challenger want it for the noise it makes and straight line speed. Nobody who actually wants it to be shorter, lighter, or smaller.
>>
Depends on what they price it at. I'll consider it at $125k max but if they put it in the $200k+ range then no lmao, let it fail.
>>
>>28854173
It's going to cost 100k to move those 4800 pounds fast, they'll probably have to put the hellephant in it. The new charger is a biblical level fumble.

No, I won't be buying it because it'll be an obese hybrid that can't provide the engagement that existing models can.
>>
>>28854321
>It's going to cost 100k to move those 4800 pounds fast
Its $65k electric. Its going to be $54 I6, and $65k+ for the hemi, hellcat, redeye, and Felon'Tavius III versions.

It's going to be $200,000 minimum.
