BMW is truly way ahead of its European competitors. First hydrogen cars, now robots building their new cars. I can't wait for 33% cheaper BMWsBut when exactly did BMW surpass its main competitors Mercedes and VW (Porsche, Audi)? It feels like it was more equal just 15 years ago
>>28862830Bmws are trash, whole engine is plastic, every model has McDonald's struts, every model has the exact same slushbox
>>28862833
>>28862835>ai convinced this ricer a plastic engine is goodKek, good luck with the sale wrenchlet
>>28862830What is the use of humanoid robots in manufacturing? The thing doesn't need to go and take a shit, so why give it legs with fancy control algorithms?
>>28862830>another bmw bait threadYaaawn
hey that anon makes a good point aren't cars mostly made by big robot arms and conveyer belts already? what are the humanoid robots for? maintaining the big industrial robots? but then who does maintenance on the humanoid robots? none of this makes sense seems more like a marketing stunt to me

>>28862830It's crazy how BMW can just buy completely dead and trash brands like Mini and Rolls Royce and turn them around into status symbols. Only BMW has this power. You just know if VW had done the same, they would have been bankrupt already.
>>28862868new minis are junk, rolls royce used to be good before bmw bought them.
>>28862870New Minis are considered extremely reliable and are cool looking.https://www.whatcar.com/news/reliability-survey-most-reliable-cars-brands/n26159How are they junk?
>>28862872Dude be honest, have you ever touched a wrench or a screwdriver?
>>28862873I screw drived your mother if that counts?
t. can't afford a better car
>>28862873Minis have used B-series engines for over a decade. They are fine. The prince engines were dogshit. The service advisor at the dealership told me a story of a customer calling in about the genie light. They were told to turn off the car and call a tow truck. Half an hour later the customer called again and said they drove it home. Needless to say they needed a new engine.
>>28862878>The prince engines were dogshit.Lol dude they're all dogshit, it's literally made out of plastic, so is the transmission
>>28862878>they drove it homelol i would too, he already knew it was going up for sale
>>28862908this may sound weird but you actually get more money for a used car if it has a functional engine
>>28862910when you have money you know when to just take the loss lol, dude just wanted to go home. you are poor and a wrenchlet btw.
>>28862913It was a Mini, it was unlikely that it was a "dude"I have more tools and cars than you, thanks
>>28862830That's a marketing, anon. Industrial robots and some humans are good enough, no need for humanoid ones
BMW won. Simple as.
Well 15 years ago was 2011, when bmws had a reasonable base engine (n52) and two steaming piles of shit in the n63 and n54. I’m not sure about Audi or Mercedes, but they must have also had equally problematic engines. Since then, bmw has made two engines that are reliable enough (b46/58) while the competition has not. That’s one big reason.
Hydrogen is cheaper once use nuclear fuel.
I think they will soon be world leading in EVs too. Their ventures so far have been a bit overpriced but otherwise outstanding. They have transitioned the best to EV drivetrain out of the traditional brands.
>>28863930audi equivalent to the n54 which is also a 3.0 turbo is actually more reliable, but not as tunable. and the mb equivalent is also very reliable, the most, but it is a slow NA engine similar in gist to the n52, but it is funny how the n52 being a base NA 3.0 is actually as fast as the upper trim 3.5 MB engine which technically should be equivalent to a n54.> two steaming piles of shit in the n63 and n54not same category. it is day and night. you can never save a n63, and it is never a viable engine for spirited driving. on the other hand n54 won't be giving you any problems if you aren't a brokie who can't afford dumping 5k into the car over a few years.of course today it is an outdated engine for poorfags who can't afford a b58, albeit if you appreciate hydraulic steering the e9x gen is the only 3 series with both og steering and a turbo petrol, but then again, a m3 is better at that point if you want power.
>>28862913The engine was likely toast either way
>>28867034audi 3l turbo is a piece of shit, the supercharged is fine outside of typical VW pcv water pump issues
>>28862830Fuel card pls

>>28870803>hiding the interiorits the ix3 interior with a hand full of different steering wheels every new bmw will get the panoramic display
