an rx8 as a daily driver is fucking retarded.So if you want one as a fun car. Then ony buy one if you have a garage.And if you do buy one get one with either no engine or a blown engine. >>28870146you'll want a rotary specific tuner. If you don't have a good one nearby, just install a powerFC and buy the PFC Master off Xavier on rx7club. It's like $2k, but if you install a wideband o2 sensor and wire it up to the PFC master you just input your mods and it'll give you a baseline tune and then auto-tune as you drive like a modern car. Later on it doubles as knock protection (something the PowerFC doesn't have) and a good display unit.

Never had any problems out of it, until the apex seals gave out during an evening commute. Being stuck in the middle of the road like that was pretty shitty and gave me a lot of time to think.I could've gotten it fixed or bought another one, but it was already my second car at that point. My other car was a Lotus Evora 400 at the time; which was faster, had better handling, and even a more comfortable ride. I couldn't think of a single reason to keep holding on to the RX-8. It can be a good deal for the price, if you get one in decent condition, but I wouldn't expect one to last as long as the alternatives.
