i use one as a work truck and its not bad, pretty comfortable and has enough get up and go, $26k is what you spend for a crossover or a corolla/mazda 3 nowadays. i'd take one over the dodge equivalent, iirc the lease on them is $300/mo so if you don't want to marry it just lease it who cares

9000lb tow rating is plenty if you want it as a daily that can tow a car on weekends

Welt belts are fine as long as you ONLY use that specific engine oil and change it religiously.
The failures are from people going to jiffylube for their $39.95 special because they dont want to pay the dealer $120.
Not defending the price or practice but the belt itself isnt the issue and is a solid design.

The belt for my 3.0 durmax LZ0 is supposed to be serviced at 200k miles. It'll take me 12+ years to get to 200k. Its a non issue to me and I can probably do it myself. But even if I had to pay to get it done, the 2-3k it'll cost isn't a big deal. The belt is made of Kevlar too its not like it dissolves in oil. Sure, in a perfect world i would have rather had a chain, but I have seen them fail as well. People are definitely overreacting about it.
