I have a 2005 forester and it is fire, it holds a shit ton of stuff, always starts, is roughed up enough that I don't have to be careful with it, and it's a manual so I am set in the winter, and can totally fuck it up if I'm stupid enough B)
wont lie id suck the dickskin off a mf for a 1995 impreza tho
>>28870977thats the era of engine that started the headgasket meme.but thats because i'm convinced that people just treated them like a honda or toyota. Subarus are not tolerant of owners who fuck around on maintenance. had 4 cars from this era and none of their HG leaked on me, and i don't fuck around with shitty maintenance habits.
If it has less than 200k on it and the oil has been properly maintained, sure
>>28871003true true, i do dumb shit in my car but i take care of her and shes doin fine at 200k miles, i mean shes falling apart but just the nonessential parts
there is only one that truly matters
Kind of embarrassed of my Subaru just because my state is constantly mocked because like 30% of the cars on the road are Subarus
>>28871012the guy before was not very nice, when i bought it it had no more than 1.5 liters of oil, and low as fuck on coolant too, but since i fixed all that shes doing good, mostly
>>28871014Colorado
>>28871013got 2 in the driveway rn, one with terminal rust and the other is a nightmare ej205 engine swap i bought before i knew what the fuck i was doing. man it looks so much better without tint.>>28871003head gasket failure was on the SLS graphite coated head gaskets in the ej251 and ej253 before 2008 (?) accelerated by not changing coolant but still happens eventually, fix is to use p/n 11044AA642 off the ej255. slightly drops compression cause the MLS gaskets are thicker but makes no significant difference. get it done before you warp your heads.

nah subaru started sucking around 2005 and never really did anything good since
>>28871125>one with terminal rust and the other is a nightmarethat seems to be the trouble with mid-2000s subarus
>>28870977>Do yall fuck withcarefully typed Ebonics
>>28871413that was ebonics 30 years ago, now it's just regular informal englishand this is true of 50% of slang, the other half comes from sailors
>>28870977I have a third gen from 2010, the last year they had before they swapped engines from the EJ.Bought it used about 8 years ago with 90K in the odometer, it's now just about to hit 200K, but it hasn't been smooth sailing, the coolant system went to shit and I mean the coolant system. First the radiator went, then the water pump (which I was told was indestructible, my ass it was) then when a hose went I just had them swap the thermostat and the overheating sensor cause at this point why the fuck not? it's not like it was gonna cost me hundreds more in repairs at this point, all problems blew on me on the road, all of them came with overheating spells leaving me on the side of the road, all of them within the same year.At this point I'm just saving money for a new car and driving this piece of shit until it blows up on me again, I hope it lasts the next 2 years so I can at least claim it lasted the full decade
>>28871003wrong you can look up subarus class action lawsuits.
I was driving a friend's 2016 Impreza once and it just literally died because the owner didn't keep up with the oil. Lube your Subes goddammit
>>28870977>Do yall fuck with mid 2000s Subarus?Nah, I prefer to drive them or work on them, but you do you. Just keep it to yourself.
>>28870977Yes. I have an 03. Get ready to swap a low mileage ebay motor into yours.
