I think it was late 2010s cause at that time the most absurdly, tremendously fast bikes were produced and now 4 cylinders are falling out of favor

The best era was 1920 to present

People get way too hung up about cylinder layouts
Just go out and ride, who the fuck cares about stats on your imaginary collector's card

This. The entire point about bikes is they're disposable shitters detached from ego. It's just you and a machine.
>>
>>28871711
literally right now. Every literbike is over 200hp

But they're becoming less available because of emission standards. I've just checked Kawasaki's catalog and I saw that ZX-10R and H2 disappeared and ZX-14R has been dead for a long time now. Other discontinued bikes are MV Agusta F4 and Yamaha Vmax. R1 isn't road legal in Europe right now. Hayabusa fell from 197 to 190 hp and GSXR1000 fell from 202 to 195 hp. I know 7 hp is a tiny difference and you don't really need this much power on the streets but I'm just saying that ICE is dying a slow death since 2020 so you can't act like there's a golden era still going on.

The beginning of the end was 2008

Everything after is a tech bloated, hand holding, gimmick driven, commodity.
The soul of the rider died in 2008.
All that remains now are posers who think they're good but wouldn't last a moment without their tech crutches. Some people are so stupid they don't even know how to shift a bike without their hand being held

No, it's just the market shifting. Sport bikes have been getting pushed out by adv and asphalt-advs for a while now. Just like with cars, young people who have no porblems hunching over clip ons don't have the disposable income for a motorcycle and the average age of the new-bike buyer is going way up. So, the companies are answering demand with bikes with taller seat, wind protection, and upright seating. Just like why crossovers killed the sedan and why Harley sells a factory tricycle.

In the US at least, there are almost twice as many riders over 60 years old than there are 29 and below. the formative 18-24 demographic only makes up ~6% of riders now. The majority of riders are over 50 years old and the average buyer is 47. In 1990, the average rider was 32. The cost of housing, healthcare, education, and stagnant wages means that the young just don't ever get their first bike. The rise of e-bikes have also gutted the use case for motorcycles in cities. It's just a waning market that can't afford to support prestige projects as often.

2009 was a great year for bikes. No more carberators. And the crossplane r1.
People remember when 600cc went for 10-12 grand and 1000cc went for 15 grand. Now companies are demanding we pay 30 grand for their fucking goyslop bullshit because they put gay ass wings on the front, that nobody wants

There's a 1100 cc 220 hp Aprilia for like $23k so considering inflation it's not that bad

How long ago was 2025?

A 2026 model has been neither confirmed nor denied. Rumor is its being updated for a new 2027 model and they're just going to burn through 2025 components until then.

2026 ZX-10R is available

H2 was also updated and is available
