Why aren't (you) hoarding chlorinated parts cleaner before it's too late?
I don't wanna die inhaling it dood
>>28871895This shit is mad awful for you bro.I'm just gonna get an ultrasonic cleaner.
>>28871897This. I poison myself for fun but I'm a huge sissy dealing with cleaning chemicals and dust from machining. I'll be the guy with two fans and a full mask just cleaning a mating surface. Can't you still buy PCE (Tetrachloroethylene) from Alibaba, it just can't be sold as brake cleaner anymore, right? That's my understanding.
>>28871901It's still possible and easy to order online for now, but locally it's hard to come by. All of the major local retail and hardware stores no longer carry it and the one hardware store in town that has it wants almost $20/can.
>>28871895Canada banned this stuff, I can't buy good brake cleaner anywhere. Can't have shit ova here, they even took away my Tamiya spray paints...
>>28871895>paying the goy taxi'd rather just make chloroform with acetone and bleach.
>>28871895Wow I had no idea this was happening. Feels like R12 all over again.
>>28871895I just use gasoline in a sure-shot as my go-to cleaner for nasty greasy slimy stuff. Spray it on, scrub it around with a stiff brush or scotchbrite pad and blast it off with the air compressor. I have acetone in another sure-shot for fancy shit.
>>28871895If I have it around I end up drinking it
>>28871895Because I have elevated liver enzymes thanks to chlorinated carb cleaner.I also don't like what it does to copper and brass.
>>28871895I just use kerosene, diesel or gasoline, does the same job.
>>28871895Whats so about this? I'm a phd chemist and work with toluene, dichloromethane, chloroform, dichloroethane/dibromoethane, and carbon tetrabromide almost everyday. One of the few things I'm really cautious handling are HMPA, however you guys are a bunch of fags
