>>28881850They're junk. wheel bearings and control arms are commonly gone around 60,000 miles. CVT disposable transmissions. I can directly compare a 2014 Impreza and a 2014 Camry - both 4cyl. The Camry's engine revs smooth, has a decent powerband and is quiet. Impreza's doesn't rev, is noisy and has a weird power curve. CVT completely sucks in manual-mode. Camry's trad 5spd auto has gears perfectly matched to the little engine and shifts nicely in manual mode, but it does have some dumb fucking "ECO" mode that completely fucks the shift points in automatic - it lugs the engine right down to 1400rpm, going up a hill in part0-throttle. You can actually feel the engine shaking in it's mounts. Both cars have about 60K miles.

Thoughts on the build quality of the BRZ/GR86? Give me autistic details. Not intending on tracking it, maybe a little autocross. Want it to last the next 15+ years. I currently drive a boring automatic hatchback but don't need all the space and overestimated the need for AWD in snow. I'm thinking of making a switch to something manual and RWD for fun.
