It's not 1983 anymore unc. An electric lift can last a 10 hour shift.
>>
Why are Forklifts so fucking fun to operate?
>>
>>28882515
In '83 you could get a shift out of a truck. We used to thrash the bejesus out of ours and got 5-6 hours between battery swaps.
>>
linde > toyota

just sayin' that a single stick is easier to operate
>>
>>28882520
That's because half of the EVs are Yota's from '83 because they just won't fucking die

man shut the FUCK up lol
>>
>>28882526
Wrong. 3 sticks is peak. A real pro can use all three at the same time.
>his finger game is lacking
Lmao, the ladies at the bar already start dripping when they see me certification. Wait until they see my hand technique and parking capabilities. I'll be fucking them before we even unlock the front door.

LMAO

A true pro doesn't need all three sticks because using the slide shift is an admission of failure. Get good.
>>
>>28882535
I mean all you really need is raise and tilt. Slide shift is for novices.
>>
>>28882529
Hes right. We have a wholeass fleet of new ev toyota sit-downs. They can easily go 16hrs with a single charge. Might not be the case forever as they degrade but they opportunity charge fast as fuck. And thats just for lead-acid batteries, the lithium ion ones we have can go a whole 24hrs.
>>
>>28882536
>>28882535
Slide shift is a god send and you guys are out of your minds. Do you need it? No. Is it insanely helpful? Yes. Fuck a side loaded pallet 30 skids deep in a trailer where it breathes

Extending is useless 9 times out of 10. Just slide the pallet and pick it back up

extend is useful when unloading trucks from one side in confined courtyards. it's also great as a makeshift bench seat for you and ten of your coworkers to sit on during tea break.
>>
Is /o/ forkliftpilled? Is the money decent? Is it fun, hard or stressful?
>>
>>28882928
Pays more than grunt work, depth perception is useful. Where I work fatties need not apply because you have to be able to rappel as part of the job. Don't ask, you just have to.

If you are to work factory its forklift or nothing.
I make like 24 an hour and its actually fulfilling work.
Unlike 90 percent of factory work

Please don't do this.
Observe the rule of 8 on a forklift battery.
8 hrs service, 8 hrs charge, 8 hrs cooling.
Othewise, I'll be happy to sell you another.

They're pretty useful, but also clumsy as fuck and not very fun to drive. I'd rather an excavator with a fork attachment.

Sounds like a problem for management LOL
Besides, I was told that they negotiated a 5yr warranty and if their performance drops as such that they can't go 16hrs without more than a single opportunity charge halfway through that we will be getting a fresh set of lead-acid batteries.
We run two 8-hour shifts, back to back, 20 people per team, and we have 20 forklifts shared between a 1st/2nd shift operator duo each.
>>
If you work in a factory it is cool to run these bad boys because you're top dog. A forklift operator can basically run the warehouse outside of paperwork

The sales-drones ALWAYS lie.
>We run two 8-hour shifts, back to back, 20 people per team, and we have 20 forklifts shared between a 1st/2nd shift operator duo each.
Betting around year 3~4 shit starts really failing, and you start having more and more machines down.
I used to try and get fleets to lease or rent, with an immediate replacement clause. Salesdrones hated that, but it kept the customer's fleet up and let us fix what was broken in the shop without having to deal with customers having a machine down, or warranty fuckery.
